I called in and requested to be expedited on 2/3/18 for humanitarian reasons. This is the reply I got back. Does this mean my request was denied because it’s already being worked on and I should hear back soon? I’m not sure how to take it. Anyone have advice on how to start the process to requesting an expidite? I dont know where to begin... I've read you have to call USCIS, i tried and could never get a real person. Also read you have to send a letter, but could never find where to send a letter to? So confused!

Anyone know the number I need to call about expediting a case? Or how to go about it? My case is currently at California service center 

Hi! I have a quick question. I’m a August 28th filer. My fiancé is from Tonga. His island was just destroyed by a category 4 cyclone last night. It has left many people without homes, without electricity, without food, without clean water. His village on his island is looking at about 1-2 months of no clean water or electricity. It’s really a sad situation and my heart is broken for my fiance and his family. I never knew true heart ache until I went almost a full day of no contact with my fiancé or his family... didn’t know if they were alive, hurt, destroyed. It has been an emotional few days. ANYWAYS, my question is how do you go about expediting a case? Also in your opinion do you think this would qualify for an expedition? Or be more of a waste of time as I’m an August 28th filer. I don’t know what to do but I do know it breaks my heart to think of him there struggling for clean water electricity etc. I’d love to hear opinions or advice on how to expedite or if I even should. Thank you all.

Well that's terrifying.
We originally sent our petition on June 1, and weren't sure if it would make it on time as it was the old form. That, as it turns out, was the least of our problems, as the entire package got lost somewhere and is still travelling around the States I guess. Oh well.  

 

 

Which form did you guys use? 

So, in 2016 i made WAY below poverty line. I was in school. This year 2017 I made around 19,000. With my current job I have (and started in Aug 2017) I make well over the poverty line for two people. Will they only look at tax returns to determine? OR will they look at my current income. (ill be sending pay stubs, letter from employer, proof of deposit etc). thank you
