  1. Hello, I am the immigrant but I was wondering if I could add my own income to the household income in part 5 of the I-864? Now that I have worked for a year in the USA while waiting for my interview I made enough in 2018 to be over the poverty guidelines. So would my husband be allowed to be my only sponsor even though our entire household income is mine? (he is a student) Just curious, I already have joint sponsors who make enough. I was just getting everyone to fill out a new I-864 with updated info for my interview since it's been over a year and a half and I saw I made enough on this years taxes to be over the poverty level for 2 people.
  2. Hey, I was just wondering if my Mother in law needed to fill out a new affidavit of support? She filled one out in September 2017 when I first applied for AOS. Now that I finally have my interview in April, she has a different job. Am I ok just bringing the pay stubs and letter from her new employer or does she need to fill out an entirely new I-864?
  3. My Interview notice says bring form i-693 and vaccination supplement in a seal envelope (unless already submitted). I did my medical exam back in Canada sometime in June or July 2017 before my K1 interview. I applied for AOS on September 28 2017. Do I need a new exam? I tired to look this up online but I get conflicting info.
  4. Hello, My current EAD card is about to expire in a few weeks. I applied to renew my EAD card back in August, but my new card hasn't arrived yet. I applied as a category C9, so I believe I am allowed a 180 day extension. However, I am having trouble explaining this to Human Resources where I work. I am worried that they don't understand how this extension works and that they won't allow me to work there after my card expires. Does anybody else have any experience with this? How did you get your employers to understand you are allowed an extension? I showed them the receipt I received after I sent away for my first EAD, which explains the 180 day extension for C9's and also the Notice of Action I received after I applied to renew my card which shows that they received it back in August. Not sure if there is anything else I can show them to help my case? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
