If it doesn't arrive after a few weeks, you can simply go to the local SS office to get his card. There is no fee for the SS card.
Thank you very much. I really appreciate. I believe I checked the box for SS card, but I can double check.

It is the fee for the Green Card itself. The actual Green Card will NOT be issued until the fee is paid. However, the immigrant can enter the US before payment.
THANK YOU very much! I thought GC will be more expensive than that. That’s good it’s not. What about the the social security card? How do we pay for that? OR we will have to go to the immigration place here to apply for that?

Hi guys, when my husband went to pick up his visa he was given a paper where it says to pay immigrant fee before departure $220. Does anyone know what is that for? It’s not for greeen card right? As i think green card is more expensive than that. If it’s not for green card where and when exactly do you pay for the green card to be established ?

- What are you going to do in the US?
Thank you VJ family, without each other this road would’ve been a lot more worse. For those waiting, we’re still together and soon you’ll be done too.
@dwheels76 Thank you for your wonderful work here. Through what you do here we can tell You have a big heart. May God continue to shower you with blessings. Can you please add me to the spreadsheet? There was almost no Cameroonian on the spreadsheet in the recent years, and it was making it a little hard for me to know what to expect. Stay Blessed dear.

I think this only applies if petitioner lives abroad. But since you didn't needed during NVC stage, I don't think you will need that now
Thank you!

Do we need anything specific for proof of domicile? Most of all the documents like Paystubs, IRS Tax Transcripts have my name and address on them, and that's the same address on the AOS. I don't remember sending anything for that when sending documents to the NVC, but now that I am preparing the documents for the interview it came to my mind again.

Hi guys,
What do you guys use as proof of domicile? Most of all the documents like paystubs, IRS Tax Transcripts have me name and address on them. I don't remember sending anything for that when sending documents to the NVC, but now that I am preparing the documents for the interview it came to my mind again since it's on the list.

Thanks alot dear actually i'm not afraid of income but m just confused that in refusal letter they Checked the box of New Joint Sponsor. If i do solo n after that they can demand New Joint Sponsor or not?? because she has not paid her last all three years returns but only Once of that last year.
They only need the petitioner to submit tax papers for the most recent year. The other two are optional. If what she's making this year is higher than the poverty line then you guys might not need a joint sponsor. Just out of curiosity do you know why the joint sponsor you had was refused? It might not be that important to you now, but maybe it can help others here on VJ.

its really frustrating i hv to wait till this year Income Tax Returns filling n i also idk what will gonna happen after that.
I am so sorry to hear what happened. Like someone else said it’s a good sign that they kept your documents. Don’t you guys know anyone else who can be a joint sponsor, so you don’t have to necessarily wait until he files taxes next year? Maybe if you find someone he/she can send their documents quickly while the case is still on the table at the embassy.

I swear to God, I am so upset about this whole situation. My husband and I have been dealing with an incompetent lawyer and her "team" for over a year now. She was the one who told me getting an interview only takes a couple weeks. I have now been waiting over 2 months now for an interview date. I just got off the phone with her and she tells me that she never said that, that getting an interview date can actually take up to a year. Like what?? Where does it say this?? And she told me that they are so backlogged right now because alot of people resigned... so annoyed...
Anyway still waiting for an interview in Guatemala CC Sept.25
Hi dear, I understand your frustration, but Interviews date are not in the power of lawyers. No one controls Interviews beside the embassy, and I think they do by available spots. Guatemala seems to be pretty tough now looking at the spreadsheet. We came a long way. We’re closer than few months ago. Hang in there sister, it will all be over pretty soon

Thank you very much T&F..
Please do you know if the joint sponsor will check the box that says I am the only joint sponsor or the one that says I am the first of two sponsors on the form??. Reason I ask is because the joint sponsor person is married and they file tax return jointly.
Sorry fr the two many questions, the form is quite confusing
hmm I didn't use a joint sponsor, so I am not quite sure..
Can Anyone helppppppppppppp..........? @dwheels76

thank you so much. if the sponsor cant find her W2, what can be substitited
What about tax transcripts? if she has tax transcripts you don't need W-2. She can request transcripts online or by phone. It takes about 5-10 days to arrive. I don't know if they will take old paystubs instead of W-2.

Can someone please let me know if I will need to notarize form I-864A or if its only signature that is needed. thanks.
No Kayman, you don't need it notarized, but it has to be manually signed by the sponsor and he/she needs to give you their tax transcript too or tax returns + W-2.

Nop.. can you please tell me the contact number of California service center.. Thanks
I just found this link for California, there is a phone number you can call and see. It can be a starting point.
-
California is usually quicker. Have you called to check?
-
I believe most of it applies to the beneficiary. However, if there is something that applies to the petitioner he/she can send it too. For example; if the petitioner was married before he/she can send a copy of Mariage termination etc...
-
-
Yes, that’s the correct address.
-
Yeah NVC doesn’t need photos because we already sent photos to USCIS with the I-130. Photos will be needed again at the time of the interview.

My pleasure. W2, IRS Tax transcript & federal income tax return are all good proof to show income for the recent year, and that you've been paying taxes. Now, for this current year If you have an employment offer letter you have to add that plus about 4 recent paystubs for proof of current income.
-
ok, so you don't have to worry about it. I've never heard anyone sending anything abt ss unless you're earning some benefits from it that you want to use as proof of income.
