If you are talking about the Packet 3 checklist, this is something that they give to everyone and is the same for everyone. If it says co-sponsor on there, it typically means *if needed* as evidence of support, not that everyone HAS TO have a co-sponsor. Are you under the assumption that this list was tailored specifically for you based on the evidence you submitted at the embassy? Because I'm certain that's not how it works. You likely have enough evidence based on the documentation you say you have, but in the end it might just be up to the officer.

Again, I'm not as familiar with the Argentina consulate as I am the Canadian process so I'd recommend posting in the Argentina specific forum for folks who would understand your situation better based on that specific consulate.

Hey we got approved:) I’m super happy lol now I just know what I need to do I know I will get the adjustment of status stuff ready but whats the process with getting married how does she use the k1 visa to get married cause it need to be a vallid us ID just need some

What embassy? Why are you speaking to an embassy? Can you give us more details of who told you that and how you are communicating with whoever it is?

It’s the embassy in Argentina I have not updated any info on here my fiancé has the interview on the 13th I was not speaking with the embassy in order for us to get a interview my fiancé had to drop off foto copy’s of her evidence at the embassy just to get a interview so after she did that they contacted her through email and gave her a list of things she will need to bring to the interview

USCs and LPRs are required to file taxes regardless of where they live.* They are taxed on their worldwide income. Being abroad does not escape this responsibility. If you were required to file and did not, then you must do so before you can submit an I-864 or I-134. The I-34  (for the K-1 visa) is presented at the interview...so if you are just starting the process, you have plenty of time to do so.

    * If you were not required because you had no income (or under the threshold...which is quite low), a tax return is not required. You can provide a signed letter stating that you were not required to file because you had no income / were under the income level to file.

What matters is current income. If you meet the income requirements now - based on what you earn in a 12 month period, assuming you are an employee for a company (not self-employed) - then you should be fine income-wise. Pay stubs and a letter of employment should be provided to demonstrate your income. The CO makes the final call on the public charge concern based on the totality of the circumstances. A very short employment term, not having a stable job, etc. can be a factor.

Your brother can be a co sponsor for the I-134 and/or a joint sponsor for the I-864 later. That said, his income level may not qualify depending on his household size (125% of the federal poverty level for one's household size: https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-864p.pdf).

Worked for 2 months in 2017 in one job and another one 2 months in 2017 and when I lived in Argentina I was a missionary for 11 months then went back to be with her and during that time I didn’t work I don’t think I made enough to file I’m not sure lol

  8.  Hi everybody I have a question for you all I just started a job making 32,000 a year while it’s over the money I need to get her here I just started there and I have no tax returns because I was out of the US for a while and I was wondering if I can get my brother witch makes like 19,500 to 21,000 to co sponsor with me and if that’s enough he has worked at Walmart for 3 years so he has tax returns pleaseee help my petition has arrived to the embassy in Argentina already so were are just waiting to see what we can do to not get dined

  9. My question is if I show I have and apartment with a lease and a job that’s above the poverty guideline requirements with a latter of employment and pay stubs and banking statements  can that be enough for the  affidavit of support cause I dont have tax returns for 2 years cause I was a missionary for 11 months and I lived in Argentina for 5 months after that and my petition just arrived at the embassy not to long ago what’s my options

no need to pay this moment...the noa-2 is good for 4 month. Once you print out the DS-160 and receipt for payment....then yes, the receipt for payment for the interview needs to be done in 3 days max. that is just the receipt for the interview. Again, only the receipt of payment for the interview needs to be printed and be paid for in the 3 days. If no interview is setup still, then no need to rush and print it

So I have the time and if she filled out the form and everything how long would she have to schedule the interview

Are you planning on delaying the interview or something for some reason? Just asking, because normally once people have their NVC case #, one is desperate to fill in the DS-160 as soon as possible to get the beneficiary over to the US. The NOA-2 has a validity of 4 months I believe from the time it is issued. Correct me please if i got the last part wrong

It’s not that I want to or she wants to delay it it’s just that she’s a police officer soooo she’s on a yearly training thing for 2 weeks so next week she will be back that’s all lol 😂

  12. My quiestion is do I really need a co sponsor if I make above the poverty guideline I make now 32,000 a year but with the hours I work I make like 35,000 but I didn’t work  almost at all last year I have good reasons but 5 months of it I spent in Argentina with her but I just started a job this month because of unfortunate circumstances I have a job in Hawaii making good money in January of this year but in March I joined the Army and in late April the discharged me so I had to get another job and finally this mi th I got a good job so do I need a co sponsor?

  13.  I am currently entering the interview part of the K-1 visa process I just started a job at Coca-Cola making ok money I’m above the poverty guideline but I have no tax papers from last year for a lot  of reasons and I’m nervous that they will reject it at the interview I’m make 32,000 or more a year I need 20,200 or something like that so what can I do I have a letter of employment I was going to show my bank statements and 2 to 3 pay stubs and a letter explaining why I did not file taxes last year
