Up until now my spouse and I have been patiently waiting for her I-751 to be approved, but we are getting more nervous with each passing day. We filed on 6/27/16 and so far have heard nothing from them. Is it recommended to contact them and ask? If so, is calling or emailing them better? I found their phone number, but not email.
Hello there,
I've been a silent lurker here but I just want to let you know that you should file a service request due to out of normal processing time asap. I have the same NOA date like you, 06/27/2016, no update, no changes on my status until couple of days ago. I made 3 infopass appointment, I always get disappointed because all they could say was be patient, they have a lot of cases to be reviewed. I finally made a service request on 09/20/2017, got an email on 10/04/2017 that said they couldn't give me a timeframe when it should be done. On 10/06/2017 I was just doing a routine check on my Case Status online and it said new card is being produced.... no email or text notification, no approval letter but I'm thrilled!! I guess the service request triggered them to finally closed my case.
