For a start, you will need the original of each document .. plus a photocopy of each... submitted to NVC, and the original i864 and copies of supporting documents...

There may also be other specific documents they require. It varies from person to person.. the info is clear about originals and copies..

Just PM'd you! I just can't figure out where it talks about originals or copies. Thanks

I just realized,  the list I have is for the AOS process and I'm realizing you're talking about the interview to get your visa, correct? In that case, if I remember correctly, we did get a list of what to bring when we got our interview date. It might vary from consulate to consulate how they handle their interviews. When I had consulate specific questions, I messaged members on here directly who went through the process already at the same consulate and that provided a lot clearer answers. You should consider doing the same in this situation.

    Great advice! Thank you :)

They generally will send you an exact list when you get your interview letter. We filed for AOS from a K1 fiance visa and this is what they asked for. You'll have to zoom in but hopefully you can make out what it asks for. If you can't I'll type some it out.

We just got our email stating when our interview is. Will we receive something in the mail as well? There wasn't a list to follow in our email.

So once Sydney gets your file, they will email you, asking you to complete DS 160, and pay for visa fees. ( Mine is K1, you must have another form to fill out). The you need to scan and email Sydney the payment receipt and DS 160 confirmation page. ( If you are CR1, would it be DS 260? Sorry I am not sure about this form, you better check with others).

Once you send them those two, Sydney will reply back with your appointment time. In the meantime, I suggest you arrange your medical done, and get police check certificate.

    Thanks!

  5. Hi everyone!

Kinda a random question but I'm just wondering if there's a certain day of the week people generally receive the email stating when their interview will be? Also we had our NVC forms approved a week ago and we're wondering how long it has been taking other people to get their interviews from when NVC finalised their stuff? I have had a look through all the Visa Journey forms about timelines but would like to hear some more experiences! It seems that a lot of people stop updating by the time they make it to the interview so it's a bit difficult to gauge it. We're in Australia if that helps :)

    Thanks!!!
