  1. Our CR1 is in the final stages at NVC. Yesterday we received the Packet 3 and 4 for the interview appointment as a reult of the K-1. That will enable us to be together in October, but it will be the non-immigrant visa. Does anyone know if this would adversely effect the CR1 visa process? If so I think we may be willing to wait for the CR1 so we dont have to go though all of the AOS and EAD processes. Any advice would be most appreciated!

  2. Hello all,

Just received the IV Fee bill as I'm listed as my wife's agent. The bill states there should be one bill for each traveling applicant. Will my step-son not be listed? He's a minor, so I don't know if this is normal. He was listed on the I130 package.

Please respond with your experience in how the CR1 treats minors when petitioning for a wife/husband.

    Thanks,

    Mike

I'm in the same situation. I sent an email to NVC but have not received a reply from them. If you find anything out please let me know!

  3. Here's a twist: After waiting since February we are finally at the last step: we have the NOA2 and have sent the AOS to NVC and paid the IV fee. Interview should be soon! Now it seems my employer may be considering moving me to my wife's home town, probably within one or 2 months of her arrival here with me. Anyone have any idea what that would do to the visa process?

    Thanks!

  4. If you filed in March and have now been approved can you please let me know? I just want to get an idea of how many have been approved. Thanks :)

Our NOA2 was approved on 3 May. However, after 3 calls I have yet to receive the snail-mail copy. We did receive the NVC bill so the case has been sent to them on 29 May. That means there is hope that your case hase been processed and they just failed to tell you! Good luck in Iraq!

  5. Seems like a few feb. filers have been approved as per the I-130 thread....

Are there any more of you out here?

please give us an update...i'm sure it will give people something to look forward to if they have filed around the same time.

    thanks

We were approved for the I-130 on 3 May. However, as of 3 Jun I still had not received the NOA2 in the mail. I called and they told me there is a backlog of work for the machine that folds the notices for mailing. The backlog was due to the recent deadline for all the H1B visas. At any rate, I have not yet received either the NOA2 or any notice that the file has been sent to the NVC. Sorry to be pessimistic, but wanted to describe the situation for you.

    Good luck to all!
