  1. If anyone has the RFE problem of it not being delivered or anything like that... I called USCIS and asked to speak with a Tier 2 officer, they don't make it easy, but you have to insist, for it is your right. (You could call if something else is fishy or not normal) after all, operators just said a lot of misleading information and were not helpful at all, and were actually very confusing.

I got the best officer apparently, he was really kind and heard me out, finally he just read to me what I was missing (it ws the translation) and gave me the address to have it mailed, just like that he fixed a problem that according to the operators would have taken at least 2 months of waiting in vain. (They wouldn't send me a new copy to another address unless the time on the RFE passed which was a month, and then they even said something about having my address changed in my Embassy and bla bla bla)

Anyway, I just sent my RFE's response today! So fingers crossed, it will be soon I have an answer!

Go to egov.uscis.gov and look under related tools and from there you can select the option to change your address.

I tried, but it only lets you change from a USA address to another USA address.. I want to change from Ecuador to USA. Do you think calling USCIS and asking for a tier2 officer I could get this information through? All the operators tell me is like, yeah, whatever... just wait

  3. Anyone in the same situation?

I sent my I-130 to Nebraska more than 8 months ago and I FINALLY received an answer. I got an RFE (which I'm pretty sure is because stupid me sent my marriage certificate in spanish with no translation) which is ok, I can fix that... BUT!!! I live in Ecuador and our mailing system is complete bogus!! I have ALWAYS had trouble with it! I have never received mail period. And once a friend sent me a package with a tracking number I was never informed, if it wasn't because my friend told me and I personally went with the tracking number and insisted they searched for the package I would have never received it. My mother recently received a package that wss sent in February (6.5 months later).

You can imagine how I am freaking out because I know I have a time limit to send my evidence to USCIS and I KNOW I will NOt receive the letter. I have called twice and they still tell me I have to wait (in vain) 2 weeks to file an e- inquiry and then 2 weeks to get an answer. Who can I talk to to fix this. I want a new letter sent to a US address or if possible to have it sent via e-mail or fax.

PLEASE HELP! I'm drowing in stress! After a more than 8 month wait just for NOA2, believe me I DO NOT want to wait another month or more unnecessarily

  4. So I finally received an answer!! They have asked me for some RFE, my case was updated on USCIS web page, but no email. Sadly we don't live in the states and they told me they sent a physical package in the mail, here in my country physical mail does NOT work! They take at least 6months to deliver something IF they even deliver. We are panicking because have no idea what they are requesting and have no idea how we will reply if it doesn't reach us!

On the side note, anyone know how long it takes to get an answer once you send RFE's? (If it is something simple.. I'm pretty sure they are asking for a translation of my marriage certificate which I was stupid enough to not send)

Hey @Iguanabat I am a 12/9 filer and just received by NOA2 earlier this month. I submitted 2 inquiries via my lawyer and 2 via my congressional official's office. you definitely shouldnt wait till anything updates, you are far out of normal processing time. i would reach out to your senator or representative and file an inquiry through them since they have their own seperate contacts at USCIS different from the individuals we speak to. I feel your pain, Waiting 8 months for our NOA2 was so tormenting.

Hey! Yeah, when I called USCIS I got nothing worth the call... I don´t live in USA at the time, who could I call from here (Ecuador) we don´t have a senator... maybe the counselor? Even though I have no idea how to contact him. Any ideas?

They are really behind. My PD is 12/12...I'm still waiting too. However I did get a couple updates recently on the tracking application I use. Recently some PDs of 12/5 - 12/12 either approved or sent RFE. So hopefully we will hear something soon. But, there are still many November cases in Nebraska center unapproved

I just saw you updated your approval of I-130 on August 23? If so congratulations! I sure hope I get my response soon too! Though of what I´ve heard there are many things that could be delaying it more.. I really hope nothing delays us more!

What app do you use? Maybe I could use the same one?

  7. I'm a December 14th 2016 filer and I still don't receive my noa2.. anyone else in the same situation. Of course USCIS doesn't update their page quickly enough, and when they do, it is 2 months behind. I've called about 3 times during the whole process, and I called today again because I see a lot of people have received their NOA2, while I'm still in the wait (been 8 1/4 months since I got my NOA1) all they say is exactly what they have on their website.. according to them, the processing times updated on USCIS is the "up to date" information and if I want to make a special inquiry I have to wait till USCIS processing times has passed my date (I know August has been our month and they are still in June.. so I'd have to wait till they update August in 2 months)

Anyone else going through the same? Any advice? Moral support? (hahaha, I'm serious, we are going crazy)
