  1. I haven't posted in awhile, but thought I'd let everyone know that I got my EAD acceptance letter in the mail yesterday. To my surprise, I found that the card was delivered too!

I had checked the mail on Monday and got nothing.. Checked it yesterday and found both the acceptance letter and new card!

Please read the above link. If USCIS deems your passport invalid as proof you are in the same situation as anyone who lost their passport.

Its also a bit concerning your attny does not know this! Is he a reputable immigration attny or just an attny that you are paying unnecessarily to fill out the papers?

Thanks for the link. My lawyer emailed me about doing an FOIA. My fear is that they won't locate any of my files since my last entry to the US was in 1994.

I had my I-94 but my father lost those years ago...

  3. hello everyone!

My DACA expires on December 4, 2017.

I will be sending my AOS through marriage on September 1. My lawyer is suggesting I file my DACA renewal just in case my work permit through AOS doesn't get here before the DACA permit expires. I feel like this would be a waste, does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do.

I feel like even if I do renew my DACA I wouldn't get it until Jan 2018 anyways..

A passport without the bio page cannot be used as a form identification.

Do you need the passport for AOS? If so, apply for a new one at the Mexican Embassy here in the US.

I don't need it as a form of ID. I need to for AOS. my lawyer is worried that during my interview, they will question if the passport is actually even mine, since the bio page tore off.

  5. Today I met with my lawyer to file for AOS through marriage.

I eneter the US legally in 1994. Everything is in order but, my lawyer is worried about the condition of my passport. My bio page on my passport is not attached to the passport. She is afraid that once I go to my interview they may question of the passport actually belongs to me since nothing ties the single bio page to the actual booklet.

Did anyone else have this problem or know if this would be an issue?

    TIA
