We went back to Mexico City, they shipped it overnight, its already at the DHL location, but we probably won't pick it up till tomorrow morning.

Its possible for other locations it can take a little longer, I think we would've had the same wait time in Juarez.

We're not planning to cross right away so there was no need for us to wait there.

Any issues getting visa in hand today ??  I've been trying to keep up with the whole " INTERVIEW TO ACTUAL VISA IN HAND"  coming out of Cuidad Juarez but many hours of searching yield very little answers. I am accompanying my wife to CDJ  along with our 3 year old and unlike your situation we have to return asap for my work obligations. I wouldn't be so concerned if I hadn't read all the "meltdowns" that have occurred over the last few months... A TON of people on this forum never fill out their timelines and leads to disappointment In looking for answers...

    Hello ALL!

I received an email from NVC Nov 30, 2017 basically stating that our paperwork was all completed and now I just need to wait to be sent an interview date. How long did it take to receive that interview date and how far in advance was it scheduled? I hate how slow communication can be with the different departments and I haven't been able to find a real answer in any of the government pages so I'm hoping for some help as far as time lines go. We need to kind of have an estimate of when we may have to go to Ciudad Juarez for the interview so my husband can tell his boss a rough estimate on the date.

    Thanks!!!

You are at what is commonly referred to as "Case Complete". Several posters from August 2017 and the first couple of days of Sept 2017 have received Interview dates as of now. We were at case complete in October 2017 and STILL HAVE NOT received an interview date. There are multiple posters on this site that are still waiting from September case completes. I fully understand your "need to know" for planning ( I just lost my entire vacation time as I was "saving it" for the trip to Cuidad Juarez) as it expires in 11 days and learned a painful mistake. You have found a very good source of information in reference to this whole painful process. Stay reading this forum and you will definitely benefit from the abundance of knowledge and experience of the families that have gone through this before you

Hi all! My husbands interview is in CDJ on January 9, 2018!! Super excited but I have two questions that we are confused on and hoping someone can reply with help!

1: Can the police record from Mexico (or certificado de no antecedentes penales) be gotten there in Juarez before the day of his interview, or does it have to be from the Mexican state he grew up in 18 years ago? (My husband has lived in USA for 18 years and is flying straight to Cuidad Juarez for his interview, having to get it in his hometown in Mexico would be a whole other trip)

2: As far as the courier service goes to pick up your packet after your interview is approved, do you have to pick it up there in Juarez or can you select the courier service to be delivered in another state in mexico? Does anyone know if there is a time difference, or which option is less of a hassle?  THANKS IN ADVANCE

I believe the guidlelines reflect  that any state that the applicant has lived on after the age of 18 must be provided ??

Also, when was your case complete date ?

My case was compleated the same date. Waiting still, i dont even feel like calling today... im very stressed out to the point where i cant sleep. Sucks!!

Did anyone tried to get in touch with the consulate in cdj?

I called NVC early this morning and got the same story that I have been for a week (even though I promised myself yesterday I would not) And agreed, the stress of all of this sucks.... I have been saving all of my vacation time in anticipation of going with my wife hoping for a Dec date (my vacation expires Dec 31) the only thing that makes me feel better is knowing that almost nobody has stated a CDJ interview...

Has anyone recieved an interview from ciudad juarez with case complete in sept 2017 or oct 2017 for IR1 visa?

We have NOT received an interview date. CC was Oct 19 per NVC. I check posts daily of some of the others waiting for CDJ (there is a handful of them for Mexico) and they do not appear to have an interview dates either. I finally got tired of calling NVC after I got multiple different answers from different NVC agents as to when and if an interview would be scheduled. We have been working on my wife's papers since 2014 (multiple delays with parties preparing our processing) Ive given in to just waiting and letting the cards fall as they may

When did you request it? How long did it take for you to get it? When's your wife's interview?

We called "tramites mexico" on Aug 4, 2017 and had it actually " in hand" on Aug 16, 2017. So a couple of weeks. I was SUPER apprehensive as I have never heard of this possibility.

Like I said in my other post, if it goes without any issues, I will update after interview.

Interview not yet scheduled. NVC criteria (for my wife's process)  is that a copy of the police certificate is included with the D-260 package that is supposed to be reviewed for errors and missing items prior to scheduling of interview in Cuidad Juarez....

  8. I obtained the "carta de antecedents no penales" federal  for my wife using "tramites mexico". It arrived this morning and appears to have an official apostille with a certification for the apostille on the back. I have absolutely no idea whether or not NVC and consulate will accept it ? It looks legit, but cant say until we have had consular interview scheduled and go to interview and are back in US. I will follow up with this post after all is complete.
