You can apply any time now if you've been a permanent resident for 3 years and still married, living together in bona fide marriage with your spouse.

If you file N-400 it now, you'll have to provide bona fide marriage evidence. If you file 90 days before your 5 year anniversary as permanent resident (conditional card issue date), you will have to provide fewer documents.

    Thanks for the reply.

Depends on how you booked your flight.

If you booked it all on a single itinerary: Houston-Los Angeles-Manila, then time your test using your departure date/time from Houston.

Be more careful if you booked your domestic flight and international flight separately. Someone I know made this mistake: booked a domestic flight Memphis-Atlanta, stayed overnight in Atlanta, and booked a separate flight Atlanta-Incheon-Manila. He thought the test he took in Memphis would meet the requirements but it was rejected by the airline because he took his test too early. He ended up needing another test and rebooking his international flight.

In any case, the 15 minute antigen test solves these timing issues. Go to Houston airport a bit early and get the antigen test done a few hours before your flight. I'm sure you can find a testing center inside or near Houston Airport that can quickly issue official-looking test results valid for international travel.

This is one booking only. I just want to know who have the same experience. I know there are some kiosk in the airport where I can take the test but I want to take the test before my flight to make sure everything is ready when I get to the airport. I don’t want to take the risk of getting false positive result in the airport.

    Thanks for your reply.

  3. Hello! When is the right time to take the RT PCR or antigen test? My flight to Manila from US starts from Houston to Los Angeles - Los Angeles to NAIA . Is the 24/48hrs based on Houston or Los Angeles? Does anyone here traveled to Ph recently who have same itinerary like me?

It's taking 4-5 weeks for checks to cash and a little longer for NOA1, currently they're working on and around 16th February

Thank you for your reply. I see in your timeline that you filed on March 10.Have you received any text yet? Kindly let me know once you received. I saw some threads that it took only a week or two when they received text/email notification so I’m just wondering.

If you can submit any documentation to show that your finances co-mingle, that's always good. I submitted our joint checking account statements and I personally chose to black out the account number (I did the same with other stuff that had account number).

As for pictures, you don't need to submit a whole lot. Send maybe 10 from different times and events during your marriage. Make it a mix of couple shots and other photos taken with family and friends.

    Here's the ROC guide: https://www.visajourney.com/guides/removing-conditions-permanent-residency/

The guide lists a bunch of stuff that you can submit as proof of bonafide marriage.

Thank you for your reply. ☺️

Was your name changed legally?  The name change is driven by the state of marriage. Some states allow only the last name to change while others allow the entire name to change.

My ex changed the spelling on her first name, adopted a new middle name and changed her last name.  This is allowed in MN but may not be in your state.

We applied for AOS with her NEW legal name and had no issues

Yes, I got married this year. My only issue here is the middle name because I put my maiden last name. I just learned today that Filipino custom is not same as here.

Hello.. That is part of their requirements.. they are making sure that you don't have TB.. You'll be needing to go to your county clinic and do the test again (x-ray and blood test)..

Thanks for the reply. Is this test for those who had sputum before? My friend who came here for K1 visa didn’t receive any letter. I knew someone who had sputum too but wasn’t required to take another test here in the US.

  9. Hi there! I just want to ask you guys if anyone here had tubercolosis exam required by the Health and Human Services upon enty into the US. I got a letter requiring me to take the exam. I didn’t have TB but I had to undergo sputum in SLEC for my K1 visa. My sputum was negative for TB and I was cleared by SLEC. Just wondering why they required me to take the TB exam. Kindly share your experience.Any advice is highly appreciated.
