We have similar situation with your fiancé. I worked in Hongkong so I need to obtain Hongkong Certificate of No Criminal Conviction too. It is clearly stated in the Hongkong Police website that " A photocopy of a letter from the relevant Consulate / Immigration Authority / Government Authority, which contains his or her name and clearly indicates that the production of the Certificate is required." http://www.police.gov.hk/ppp_en/11_useful_info/cert_no_crime.html. I waited for the letter from NVC which already have my name, the case number, the US Consulate where my interview is assigned, which is Montreal. I downloaded and filled in the application forms from that site and had my fingerprints taken by authorized fingerprint agency here in Montreal. Then I sent my application to my sister in Hongkong with authorization letter thru Canada Post Express Mail, I paid 65 CAD but it was delivered within 5 days. Then my sister applied on my behalf and the police officer told her it will take 6 weeks to send the Certificate directly to the US Consulate in Montreal. My sister requested in May 11 and the US Consulate Montreal received it before June 20 since as soon as I saw they updated our case at CEAC, I emailed them to ask if they did receive my HK CNCC, they immediately confirmed receipt.
My work permit is also expiring in Feb. 2018. My advise, when your fiancé sends the Packet 3, make sure he includes a copy of his work permit to establish his status in Canada.
oh nooo, really? it takes 6 weeks? gosh. i guess the hk police clearance will be the reason of "delay" haha (hopefully not) we're planning to transfer the interview in Manila, Ph but we're worried that it will take a while.. like, additional 2-3 months more. More waiting period.. lol
Anyways, thanks for the info. really appreciate it a lot.
how long does it take for you to receive the NOA 2 btw?

Two months is too long we can say 4-5 weeks since they need to send it overseas
mine was only three weeks
goodluck
nice thanks for the info.. hopefully we'll receive the NOA2 sooner than expected do you have any idea of transferring consulate? like, instead Montreal, it will be transferred to Manila?

From what the previous threads are saying you need the letter (with the case number) from the NVC. You don't have a timeline completed. How far in the process are you?
we received the NOA1 last August 9. waiting for the NOA2 soon, so my fiancé can apply for the police clearance in hk since his contract expires in Canada on Jan2018

They need the case number
are you in the philippines or hk?
i was in hk when i requested my clearance and since i cant wait for my packet 3,(it took so long to arrive my mistake though i wrote wrong address) i just printed out the email from nvc estating my name, his name and our case number the officer accept it.
that's great. it's for my fiancé, since he worked in HongKong for 8 months. then He's currently working in Montreal and hopefully the NOA2 arrived soon since his working permit expires January2018. they say, getting the police clearance takes 2months in hk.. that's why we're worried :/

Originally had thought I would be in the July club, but we had some delays with a few documents and so we've finally filed! My fiance sent the packet on the weekend and it arrived at the PO Box in Dallas yesterday! So now we await our NOA1

Hi there Honestly, i don't have any idea abotut your situation.. however, she can ask a consultant who can help her about it. there's a lot of agency in HK who also help applicants regarding k1-visa i suggest, a tested and proven consultant. A little bit pricey yet guaranteed
