I’m new in NVC processing stage. I called NVC today to know if they received the supporting documents. The customer service guy told me they received the package on 6th February. However I didn’t get any email yet.
What you guys mean by scan date? Is it an automated email from NVC starting that they have received the package?

What is the current processing time in NVC? I sent I864 last week.

No select Yes and put 2016 as the most recent year in 19.a! Since taxes aren't due until April 17th (sorry I accidentally put March 17th in my original reply), 2016 is still considered your most recent tax year if you haven't filed for 2017 yet
Thanks! I mailed my docs on 4th. Do you have any idea how long NVC is taking to review docs in this stage?

I would go ahead and send it, I'm not sending my 2017 tax transcript for the same reason. You're not obligated to until March 17th when taxes for 2017 are actually due. Submitting 2016 as the most recent year will be fine!
May I know how you filled up following items in sponsor form?
Did you select No for 18.a and kept 19.a blank?

Hello! I applied I-130 for my spouse. I have everything prepared to submit the affidavid of support. Only thing missing is the tax transcript for 2017. Will it be a good idea to submit the documents without latest tax return? I didn't get W2 from my employer yet. I will get it sometime in February. Even if I get my W2 in Feb, it'll take another 3-4 weeks to get the transcript. I was hoping to submit everything to NVC as soon as possible without any delay.
Any recommendation ?

Impatience isn't a reason to expedite, everyone waits a long time.
What's wrong with trying if there is no harm in doing so?

It took 11 months to get NOA2. My case is now in transit to NVC. I sent an email to our local congresswomen to help me with USCIS processing as it was taking too long. She recently responded to me with an email asking for more info and informed me that she will try her best to look into this matter.
Now I was wondering what should I do now as the case just got approved by USCIS (NSC). Should I ask her to help me expedite NVC processing ? Any recommendation? I didn't get my case number from NVC yet. It's been only 1 week since the case got approved. Should I wait until I get the case number and then send an email to the congresswomen to help expedite NVC processing?

I called USCIS today and talked with an immigration officer. She was really helpful and she told me that my case is approved. The case status was updated one hour after talking with her.
However when I initaially called, the customer service rep told me that I need to waiting as my case is in normal processing time and tire 2 won't be able to help me out much. However I kinda went mad and insisted that I still want to talk with an immigration officer. Customer service rep knows @##. Just talk with an immigration officer/tire 2 rep to get latest status of your case.
My PD is March 14th.

Anyone with march priority date still waiting?

Does anyone know if you always get notified if your case is in initial review? I spoke to Tier 2 a week ago and he said I was in initial review but I never received a notification saying that. So now I wonder if he lied?
I called the rep several times and 2 months ago they told me someone is actively working on my case. They assured me that my case isn't just left alone in the queue- someone is actively working on it. However I get this status update now. I have no idea ####### those reps told me. Did they just lie to me ? This is just unacceptable.

I received two notification about my case status today.
One had "Name was updated" and the other one "Your Case Status: Initial Review ". I attached a screenshot.
What does it mean? Can I expect to get a status in few weeks? How long it takes to do the background check? If it takes 4-5 months then it'll be too long. My PD is 02/03

Yup back in August we were thinking of applying for tourist visa for my wife ,.
Should have done it ,. Took my chances because by the looks of it she won't be here till at least June
We tried earlier this year. They rejected her. I want to try again. Last time the officer was convinced but at the last moment decided to reject the application.

Tired of waiitng. Thinking about applying for B2 visa. I know there is 0.0001% chance but still want to try my luck.

How to get to tire 2 supervisor? When I call the customer service, they don’t want to transfer me to their supervisor. What should I ask?
Also so can someone please share the shortcut to get to a live person after Calling?

I went to USCIS office and talked with an officer directly using infopass. The officer asked me why I applied for I130 for my spouse in USA as she is living abroad. This is so weird!! I can’t apply for 130 in her home country as I live in USA.
Next I asked her when I will get NOA2. My PD is February 3rd. She told me my wife might get letter for fingerprinting. Is this normal? I never heard of fingerprinting before NOA2. The officer I talked to seemed really confused. I told her that I know guys who applied after me and for NOA2 without fingerprint. She was really surprised to hear that. Finally she wasn’t able to give me more info about why fingerprinting is needed and told me just to wait.

Can service center request for fingerprint of the applicant before NOA2? My wife lives in USA for 2 years before we got married.

I filed for I130 for my wife on 3rd February and still waiting for NOA2. I know two cases from April getting approved back in October. What the hell is going on with NSC?
Any February 2017 filer here? Did you get approval letter yet or still waiting like me ?

I called uscis today. The rep told me they are now currently finshing application filed on Dec 9th.

Also want to add that my another friend got NOA2 few days ago. His case is processed by TSC and he filed on 03/08/2017. According to the latest processing time, TSC is running behind NSC.

If you are with Nebraska most likely you will get something Oct-Nov. My pd is march 9th which is now over 6 months and people are saying Nov-Dec for NO2. Goodluck tho
Interesting. I personally know someone who filed on Feb 26th and he got NOA2 today. His case is processed by NSC.

I know few folks with 02/2017 filing date getting NOA2. I am still waiting. Anyone here already got NOA2?

Would your wife join you in Canada? If so, you might want to have a good read at this thread:
I live in USA. If we got accepted then our plan is- my wife will move to Canada. She can easily get a job. I will visit her every now and then until her I-130 petition gets approved.
NVC stage any February filers got CC ?

My scan date is 02/06 and currently waiting for NVC to get back to me about my petition.
What is the current processing time? In NVC website it says 11 week. Does it really take that long ?
