No status on those sites means .... "Elvis has left the building!!"

Now you should be tracking with 2GO ...   with 2GO one never knows if they are using the MNL#, passport #  or UID code from your appt confirmation.

I would tend to venture that Monday could get interesting.

    I sure hope so!

I had the same problem when I was waiting for my visa packet delivery and would track where it's at. I only knew that my visa packet was ready for pick up through text from 2GO.

I wish they would let me know too as soon as it is ready to be picked up.

Attending the seminar for those with an immigrant visa is determined by age .. if you mom is under 60 she must attend the PDOS seminar before receiving the sticker.   With PDOS passport with visa is required to schedule/attend the seminar.

    *PDOS Seminar

All other immigrants must attend PDOS

    Scheduling

Adults:  Those 60 and above need only register to get the sticker.

    Derivatives:  C
hildren above 12 years of age must attend PDOS, those younger only need to be registered to get the sticker.

Ages 13-19 will attend PDOS Peer Consoling.

Yeah. I meant to say she doesn't need a certificate they give to spouses and fiancées for the guidance and counselling. She does need to do the seminar and get the sticker though.

  5. Hi all. I am kinda trying to cut corners to make things fast. I am still waiting for my mom's visa to be issued and delivered. She only needs a sticker since she will come on IR5 visa. Will I have to wait for a soonest available date or can I set a next day appointment. Thanks.

Yes, they go by the address you entered online for delivery of the visa package.

Embassy doesn't work weekends so have to be patient through the weekend.. ;)

I am trying. Not so easy.☺ I hope it won't be long. I have been wanting thing long arduous process.

If it hasn't turned to "issued" then yes you will have to wait till next week. Usually takes 4-5 business days after the interview. Sometimes longer but that is the average wait time.

Thanks! I was a little confused because he said wait for four weeks and handed my mom a paper. The paper said 10 days max. He didn't ask for the thing I printed out containing info where I chose to pick up mom's passport. But I assume since it is online, they must have gotten it right?

  8. Okay, thanks for the inputs folks but I am getting a little confused here. My mom's name is never misspelled on any document and she has used only her maiden and married name all her life. She is only married once. The name on her NBI matches with the name on MY birth certificate, HER birth certificate and HER marriage certificate. Do I still have to get a new NBI clearance?

  9. Hi all,

My mom got her NBI clearance online for her interview on the 17th. It was on her maiden name. Her husband's surname was indicated there. Will this serve as an AKA? Or should I request a new one that screams AKA? I wouldn't like to go through a bump on the road if I could help it. Thanks!

You shouldn't have an issue with entry into the embassy .. flashing Ol' Blue.

Questions to your mom will be about you .. but I don't see them being too intense.   Where do you live/work   ..   yada - yada.

I sure hope so. Or mom would have to do it without me. Thanks, Hank!

  11. Hi friends,

How are you all? My mom's interview is on August 17th. Does anyone have any ideas on what possible questions that will be asked? Also, I am planning to be with her, but the catch is we're gonna have to take my 4-year old and 19-month old toddlers. There is no one to look after them. Will they be allowed inside? We're all US citizens and have our passports with us but I know, it's not like a guaranteed pass.

Hello, I and my American bf are planning to get married this year, we've been patiently waiting for each other for 7 years now and I am really looking forward to meeting him in person and to spend the rest of my life with him but I am still confused on the part of the requirements of the US Embassy that you have to bring. It was said that you need to bring the followings which are

    1. Confirmation Printout of appointment 2. Valid Passport 3. $50 fee and last was all divorce decrees or death certificates, so my question is do you still need a kind of certificate even though you're single?

Hoping to hear some response, thank you :)

No. You need to show up to the embassy and take an oath before an officer that you are legally free to marry.
