  1. We submitted these items yesterday.  I hope they're enough.  We had loads of evidence for the AOS and didn't want to repeat that.  Also felt that our banking accounts are the same so they can see that when reviewing.  Ah well, fingers crossed it was enough.  Did the hole punch and folder with it attached, and sticky divider labels on the bottom for organisation.

  2. We received an email from USCIS this morning that said "We have taken action on your case", and to log in.  We did, and we got this!!!

    "November 7, 2019

    Case Was Approved

On November 07, 2019, we approved your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXX. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. "

Finally!  Hoping everyone else waiting gets their notice soon too.  The last three weeks were torture.  This whole process has been torture.  Here's to not worrying about it for a year at least!

Not LizM but I’m still “under review” since the 9/18 interview. I also have a friend going through a similar timeline “under review”.

I really think they are just front-loading some of the interviews out of the overloaded manhattan queues and there’s still additional processing to be done (maybe background checks? Apparently those are overloaded too).

If it gets past 120 days you can always sue them to adjudicate it....

Oh wow, well it sucks for all of us but I do feel slightly better it's not just us.  My husband is convinced the officer lost our case and didn't put it through the system because the office was such a mess.  Fingers crossed we all get good news soon!

I see you guys already called - I don't believe the "updates from 1-15th" one bit... The guy I spoke to also said some things I'm fairly certain are not true. However, I thought at first that he was a little helpful because I read somewhere that sometimes they invite you for an interview even though your case is not done processing, so they might still wait for the admin parts to finish. And that's what the guy indicated about my case as well. But I'm also 100% he would never tell me if they had lost my case or if I was up for further security review, so really it probably just meant nothing.

Are you still waiting for your card as well?  I do wonder if the delay is because the office was still in boxes and computers didn't seem to all be working.

Yep they make up answers.  If we don’t hear anything by 17th going to do tier 2 call. No rhyme or reason for the torture.

My friend, who's PD was July 29th 2018, Brooklyn office got her interview last Tuesday October 26th. She received reply that they have to review the case again and have time to decide up to 120 days-it seems its becomes standard answer lately..but her status updated on November 1st already that the post office picked up the card and it will be delivered on Nov 4th (they gave tracking#), so she was lucky she didn't have to wait long after the interview for decision. i hope everyone who gets such reply (that they have 120 days for decision) will not have to wait longer than few days for actual decision.

They’re very lucky. We had Interview on 17th and still not heard anything.

  7. Latest update - my husband rang this am.  Amazingly he didn't have a wait time to speak to someone.  The person he spoke to said that the latest case update was 8 October, that our case was sent from the NBC to regional (Manhattan).  Which kinda makes sense since our interview was on 17 Oct, though we knew the date before the 8th...

Anyway he then said that the system only updates from 1-15th of each month - which I'm not sure I buy because people seem to get updates after their interviews, like someone on the 22nd (I think) got update that night that they were getting their card.  It amazes me the things they make up.  The guy also asked if we had an online account - we have on both sites.  So who knows.  Just hoping our case didn't get lost by the lady who couldn't get her smart card to work :(

He also said to ring back after the 15th if we haven't heard anything, and then read some spiel about how long wait times are for gc's… zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm in Brooklyn and I'm still stuck in a delay. I called tonight and spoke with a nice dude who told me they still haven't made a decision about my case. It wasn't any news, but it was good to hear because I wanted to make sure I'm not missing any potential requests for evidence. He said there are additional steps after the field officer is done with the case... which I obviously know very well is not always the case as some people get approved right away. He said they were delayed. I knew there was a delay pre-interview but I wasn't expecting this.

Also, my expedite request is seemingly denied. Or I can't really tell from the email they sent me (minutes after I finished my call with the nice dude by the way). They referred to the extension. I'm aware... Just getting a bit tired of this.

Hi, did you call the usual USCIS number or a local one?  My husband wants to ring and see if all is okay as there has been no status updates since the interview, in fact it still says "interview is scheduled".

    TYIA.

Did the USCIS officer tell you about the expected timeframe?

We were told to expect results in 24-48 hours after the interview.

yeah she said it could take 120 days but we should get it in two weeks.  still haven't heard anything and people after us have got theirs already.  she said as long as background check was ok, but can't imagine it wasn't because nothing has changed.  really think she forgot to update it since she couldn't get in the computer but don't know what to do about it :(

At this point all there is to do is waiting it out because that tracking number could be it, In my particular case because i lived in a townhouse styled building they took my informed delivery off so when USCIS sent me the tracking number i just held it at the office and picked it up. As i read everyone else’s experiences, I notice even though we’re basically doing the same exact process the order varies per person idk why but please let us know as soon as you see changes, good luck friend 👍🏽🍀

Thank you for the support and info.  We are trying to stay distracted whilst waiting.  No new USPS update with the tracking number, so no clue what it is.  The never ending roller coaster ride goes on ;)

Our case status changed to “New card is being produced” today

    Interview date: October 22, 2019

    at USCIS, 26 Federal Plaza

    Medical Exam: October 11, 2019

Questions during the interview were pretty straightforward.

    To God be the glory!

We will pray that everyone will get their updates and GCs soon too.

    congrats!  That's great news!

I'm worried ours got lost in the process, our interview was 17th Oct, and nothing heard or changed since then :(

  12. 4 hours ago, Mellamanlola said:

Do you have informed delivery? Cause they’ll show you a picture of what’s coming in the mail. The gc comes in a white envelope with red stripes so if you see that in informed delivery then you know you’re good 👏🏽

I do. That’s where I saw a tracking number but have no idea what it could be.  All it said was a label was printed. Not mailed yet. So no idea what’s going on.  Uscis still hasn’t updated anything on site.  Ho hum. 🤔

If you have an online case tracker account, you can always check cause USCIS updates the tracking number there. If not call and get a tier 2 they can give you your tracking number, good luck friend.

I do, on both the "old" and the "new" sites - and it still says "interview was scheduled" from 5 Sept - even though we had the interview on 17 Oct.  :(

I got a text with a tracking number but we don't know who sent it and so I was trying to investigate as we are anxious.  The agent that interviewed us couldn't get on her computer that day so we are worried that our case got lost along the way.

  14. We still haven't seen a change in status on app or website after our GC interview, but got a USPS alert that a shipping label was created yesterday. Neither of us can recall ordering anything and are wondering if anyone got an alert and it was their greencard, if it came from Crozet, VA.  That is the only information we have on the tracking email from USPS.

I'm sure it's a long shot but sitting on pins and needles.

    TYIA for any info :)

I'm in the same boat and not worried... anymore. Just seems like most Manhattan filers are getting stuck with this extra delay. My I-130 was approved within a few days of the interview (which I think is approved by the main office in Missouri), but it looks like there's just a big back log for the I-485s at this office.

Thank you for sharing.   I will try not to worry too much ;)

120 days later from our interview date would be 14 February 2020 so there's that (L)

Were you interviewed in the 'Queens office'? I'm starting to think they are putting the Manhattan people's interviews in the 'Queens office' but then have to pass it off to some Manhattan office supervisor for approval.

It seems like the people who are getting instant/fast approvals are all people in the boroughs not served by the Manhattan office, while Manhattan filers are all getting the '120 days' notice.

It could have been, not sure.  There was a couple behind me that I think said they lived in Manhattan, but anything is possible.  The signs downstairs did not match the other signs I saw, and they had just moved offices...
Praying we hear something sooner than 120 days, and that it's good news.

  17. Hi!  We had our GC interview on Thursday.  The woman was nice, we were told that it could take 120 days, then she said probably a couple of weeks.  She couldn't log on to her computer, so asked someone else to print out a "Notice of Interview Results".  She said Congratulations and we went on our way.  Unfortunately though nothing has changed in the system as of yet.  I'm hoping that she didn't forget to update the file when she was able to get into the system.  The other strange thing is the date on the letter she gave us says 11 Sep 2019.  Praying it didn't get lost in the confusion of tech issues.

  18. I found a link to the I-944 draft, and I am amazed at that form.  First of all it seems like a child wrote most of it, and secondly, the amount of information they ask for, like credit scores, is ludicrous.  I hope the courts keep their injunction and ruling as this is just taking the piss.

Here's a link if anyone else wants a gander, since it's not on their site anymore.

    I-944 draft form
