Awww Jac I am sorry to hear that no one in your family will be able to come to your wedding. Maybe you can have a video tape made and send it to them. That would be a nice way for you to share your special day with them. There is A LOT to do to get ready for everything huh? We are also having a small wedding (only family) in the church and even with that there is a lot of preparing still. Hang in there!!

Edi, June is not too far away either! That would be awesome if his mom and brother are able to come as well. Although René's brothers will not be able to make it I was so excited to hear that his parents will be here. René will be arriving in March and our wedding will be March 30th. I cannot believe it is less than 6 weeks away! Does Pieter have any idea when he will try to fly over?

Congrats Harry and Arazia!!!! It is an awesome feeling!

René and I have been busy with wedding plans etc. My mom and I have been busy planning the details! His parents will be flying in for the wedding and staying for 2 weeks. It will be there first trip to the USA. We are all very excited about the upcoming wedding. I hope everything is great for all of you.

Congrats! What a relief it will be when she steps off of the plane and the two of you can go home and begin your lives here in the US!

Just a quick update.........As I posted yesterday, René had his interview scheduled today. OUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED! I have been so excited all day, it has taken me this long to calm down enough to sit in front of the computer! Finally! We are so happy!! I wish all of you in whatever stage of the process you are in the best of luck! Thank you all for your well wishes!

Hello everyone!!! I am SOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!! Our visa has been approved!!! Oh my gosh I can hardly believe it. We are so happy. Now we can finally be reunited and not have to say another dreadful goodbye. Thank you all for your well wishes and support. I am so excited I am having trouble typing this!

René said the officer that was assigned to his interview was very nice and asked only 4 questions. He did not ask to see any of the evidence that he took with him. That was it and he was approved!

I called around last month for car insurance quotes. Geico was much more expensive than the insurance provider (Nationwide) I currently use. Try checking into Nationwide. I have been with them for years and will continue to do so. I have no complaints with them and their prices are more than reasonable.

Hello all! I hope everyone is doing well. Just an update to add.....René has his interview tomorrow afternoon! It will be early in the morning for me. You spend so many months preparing for this moment and then it finally arrives! Whew.......I will be glad when the interview is over. I am not sure which one of us is the most nervous!

Arazia and Harry...... wow! It is amazing how things worked out the day of his "first" medical. I am glad everything worked out the way it did. Good luck with the upcoming interview. If I am not mistaken it is about a week or so after René has his interview.

René and I are counting the last 7 days down until he goes for his interview on February 6th. I am so nervous. You wait and wait all of these months for that day and when it approaches all sorts of things begin to pass through your mind. I think I am more nervous than he is. We have everything ready though!

Jac: I am sure the days will be flying by now. You are not a weirdo for waiting. There are so many things to take care of before you come settle in your new home!

Edi: René's medical went smooth. No problems at all and he said the doctor was a very nice guy. I hope the rest of this process goes as smoothly as the medical. Did they ask Pieter a lot of questions at his interview? Also, what type of evidence did they ask to see if any?

Edi & Pieter Congrats to you both!!! I logged on tonight hoping you would have news. I knew Pieter's interview was coming up very soon. It is great to see the progress coming along for everyone. René has his medical tomorrow and then less than 3 weeks away (February 6th) on to the interview.

Hi Elena! My fiance too is a Netherlands native. He found someone there in his country to do the translations. I had the same problem when we first began too as I was searching for someone here. He uses a lady there (I can get her info if you would like) and she has had everything returned to him the next day. We chose to have an individual do it that was certified in doing so just in case there was ever a question about anything.

Hello to all! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas. Arazia, I can certainly understand. René was here for days during the holidays and everytime we have to say goodbye it seems to get harder. We hope for us that was the last time to say goodbye On the brighter side of things, we are now waiting for his interview date!!

Hello all! Arazia and Harry congrats on the NOA2! Edi...that was quick! I hope ours moves through quickly as well! René received packet 3 last week the same day we found out he would be able to make it for the holidays!! It looks like many of us will have a wonderful holiday season. Best wishes to you all.

Before we knew that our case had even gone through the NVC my fiance received packet 3 from the Embassy! I received a letter by snail mail today from NVC that our case had been forwarded to Amsterdam. We did not receive an email from them until the day after Rene received packet 3. I have no idea what happened there but we are very happy that things have moved so quickly! Best of luck to those still waiting.

I e-mailed NVC twice and before I knew that they had received our petition my fiance received packet 3 from the embassy. A day later I received notification from NVC that they had received our case and would be sending it to the embassy!

No, nothing new for me today either. I too have tried calling this evening and I cannot get through. The recording states that all operators are busy to call back.

Our petition was approved on November 16th and still no word from NVC. The last touch at CSC was November 18th.
