quick question. Am I allowed to bring my cellphone to the interview in Newark?
-
I just received a letter saying that my biometrics will be reused but there’s no update or new documents online. Originally scheduled for 03/27/2020. Does anyone know how long it will usually take for interview to be scheduled? I am abroad now and wonder when I should come back just in case. Newark office.

You're not in the list of those waiting. Could you please let us know when was your I-751 accepted (date of NOA and which service center you filed with)? Thank you.
Vermont.

The Statue of Freedom is only on approval letters I thought. Also USPS sends emails in the morning but delivers these letters later or next day
It is approval letter. Finally. Thank you for everyone providing information here.

Why don't you just go to your mailbox and open the letter?
It could be a RFE or approval or card? Only you can tell.
It hasn't arrived yet. USPS sent out emails very early morning and usually delivers in the late afternoon. Fingers crossed.

Well. This morning I received an approval email from USCIS regarding my h-1b case which was approved years ago. I was really excited for a second for thinking that it was my I751. Not sure what glitch of their system caused the false alarm

Got an email from USCIS regarding my service request. It says my case is under officer review and I should receive a decision or notice within 60 days. Does it really mean anything?

Any VSC application still pending? I feel I am one of the very few still waiting.

Response regarding my service request.
The status of this service request is:
Recently, you or your representative contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) concerning your Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence (Form I-751) to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services computer systems show that your petition or application is still pending consideration. For future status inquiries of a petition or application filed at this office, you may want to utilize Case Status Online at www.uscis.gov.
We thank you for your continued patience and hope this information is helpful to you. -

Call back until you are able to put in a service request. They just trying to shut you up.
I put in a service request online right after the call. Is it different from the service request tier 2 officer places? I used the number on I797 though
-
Just called tier 2 this morning again. The guy insisted that there is no official announced processing time and whatever time I saw is just an estimate. They seriously need to train their employee better.

Just called USCIS. The Tier 1 set me up for a call back number for Tier 2 officer. So I set it up and got called back immediately. Spoke to Tier 2. I was told that my case is still pending and all I-751 cases are required for an interview. I told her based on people’s reports most cases didn’t get an interview. She insisted it was for cases before and now they are notified that cases require an interview. When I asked if my case has been assigned to an officer, she said she doesn’t know as the system doesn’t show. She can’t set up a service request either at this point because of the process timeline. However, she then told me my case is still at the service center. If my case is sent to the field office, there will be an interview. If my case is at the service center, there may be or may be not an interview. Pretty useless information and just some official answers for me. I asked for her badge number to follow up, she doesn’t have one but she did give me her name. I guess I will follow up later when the process timeline is updated.

Does divorce case usually take much longer? I saw a fast divorce case approval from this thread and am just curious.

I am confused as to your timeline.
If you got your I-751 extension letter in Sept 2016, how will it expire in June 2018?
When did your 2yr GC expire, when was your extension letter dated, have you got a stamp since, and when did/does your license expire?
Anyway, going by the letter date instead of the correct 1yr from 2yr GC expiry date, is I am afraid the more usual practice for NJ, and good luck getting them to admit that they are wrong.
The oft-quoted but mythical 'you can only get a stamp within 30 days of the extension letter expiry'.
No such hard rule exists, and I speak from personal experience having done it several months before expiry of my then current proof of status.
Having a valid reason, such as travel in a period not covered by the letter, or in your case, in order to renew a license as you have no other proof of status available, should gain you an I-551 stamp at an infopass appointment.
2 year gc expired in June. Divorce so I 751 reciept date was last September. My license will expire this September.
I will schedule an info pass just in case. Thank you for your help.

I went to a DMV in NJ to renew my drivers license. The rep and the supervisor insisted to go with the receipt date of my I751 and refused to renew my license unless I get an "extension letter" from USCIS. My I751 receipt date was last September and will expire next June. Based on my research, I won't get a 551 stamp unless my I751 is about to expire. Did anyone have luck renewing their license in a specific NJ DMV location? I'd just go there and try my luck. I saw the file in the pinned thread about travel and will bring it with me this time.
Any information would be highly appreciated.
Fill out AR11 to change address before receiving green card
in General Immigration-Related Discussion

Hi all,
My parents have been approved for green card and entered the country a month ago, but haven’t received the physical card. I just got them a new place to live and need to update their address. On AR-11, it asks for form number and sub form type. Which form and sub form should I choose?
I chose “Yes” for “Have you filed an immigration-related application or petition and your case is pending a decision or you have not received a notice, card, or document?”
Thank you.
