If I am reading this correclty, my fiance's daughter's K2 file needs a copy of my I-134 also??????
-
Evidence of Support: The petitioner may submit a complete original signed Form I-134, Affidavit of Support for his/her principal applicant and one copy for each member of the applicant’s family who will be travelling to the U.S. as a derivative in the petition filed for the applicant. This form is also available at USCIS page. The original form I-134 must be accompanied by records of the petitioner’s income for the most recent tax year. The preferred record of income is the Complete Income Tax Return Transcript from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) (formerly IRS Form 1722). However, W-2s and a certified copy of a complete federal tax return (Form 1040), including all pertinent schedules, might be acceptable in some cases.
When applicable, joint sponsor should include all of the documents listed above, plus proof of immigration status such as a photocopy of his/her U.S. Birth Certificate, U.S. Passport, Naturalization Certificate, or Lawful Permanent Resident Card. The officer will make the decision whether a joint sponsor will be accepted at the interview.

If you received the NOA1 (I-197C receipt) today then within next 10 working days you will receive a mail for biometrics. You will have to go to the closest USCIS Application Centre for biometrics. All the details will be mentioned in the mail and what makes you think that they will reject your papers ?
Biometrics?? I am an august filer also and I have not received any letter requesting biometrics

I would think the CO wants to see you AGI. That would be line 37 on your 1040

For additional information on required documentation, see the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov/I-129F or refer to the
regulations in 8 CFR 214.2(k) that governs petitions for nonimmigrant alien fiancé(e)s and spouses.
3. Evidence of U.S. citizenship which may include any of the following:
A. A copy of your birth certificate issued by a U.S. civil authority;
B. A copy of your original Certificate of Naturalization;
C. A copy of your original Certificate of Citizenship;
D. A copy of your Form FS-240, Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States;
E. A copy of your valid, unexpired U.S. passport or passport card issued with a validity period of at least five years;
or
F. A statement executed by a U.S. consular officer certifying that you are a U.S. citizen and the bearer of a currently
valid U.S. passport.
This was what I downloaded in April 2017

Are you receiving 1099's?? If so I would have all those available to show your 2017 income. Maybe also when you submit your I-134 I would line item and have a total at the bottom. This way the CO can easily look and see what your gross is at a certain point

Not to derail the thread but why does he or she need a SS card so soon?? I plan to also apply for a SS card shortly after arrival into the US but want to understand the benefits.
Pros:
Driver license
Once married claim as spouse and dependents if any. If not married at end of year then can claim as dependent and also children for tax deduction
No Affect:
Can't work yet with SS card number

Thanks. That answers my question

I have done quite a few searches and have not found current "logical" vaccine required for immigration. Does anyone have current knowledge required vaccines??
I found this list but it seems a little crazy.
Mumps
Measles
Rubella
Polio
Tetanus and diphtheria ????
Pertussis
Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib)
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Rotavirus ???
Meningococcal disease ???
Varicella
Pneumococcal disease ????
Seasonal influenza ????
I put question marks next to those I feel are little over the top to require.
Or does the US government really require all these. I am having my fiance do these even though I received NOA1 early this month. I remembered before going back to VN in 2007 I had one or a couple vaccines that required a second visit after an amount of time like Hepatitis vaccine.

If there are over $150k in an IRA, would they accept that alone (with no other assets or sources of income provided)?
Not that I have any inside information about the USCIS but I would personally so NO. Your $150k is already taxed a penalty for withdrawal and income taxes so the net is not much. That amount is not income on a yearly basis.

IRA? Do they accept IRA at all?
It seems that there would be no straight forward way for them to figure out how much you would lose in penalties if you have to dip into the IRA to support the fiance.
The I-134 ask for investments. To have a decent amount in there will help than not.

Hello Willallen!
Check your state's requirements for a driver licence, but in my case here in Florida, we needed to wait a little bit. The first thing I did was getting my fiance's social security which you can go to the SS Office two weeks exactly after your fiance's arrival (important to then add your fiance's name at your mailbox so the ss# arrives at your address, other wise they send the ss card back).
If you happen to get her number before her actual ss card arrives, you can use the number plus the letter the SS office gives you saying that they have issued a ss# for your fiance. In the DNV here in FL they do this.
If you go to the DNV office before you file for your Adjustment of Status, your fiance can take the written test, the road test and pay, but they will issue a temporary driver's licence up until the expiration date of her K1 visa reflected on her I-94. For the DNV to give her a one-year driver's licence that they do for nonimmigrants, you will need the USCIS receipt for the I-485 (AOS application form) that is mailed to you (not the email saying that they got it, but a receipt that extends your fiance's stay) this paper plus a certified copy of your marriage licence.
Thanks. Just what I need being a FL resident. Save's me the research

Personally my fiance was given I-134 packet before I departed Vietnam. I post dated the signature but I already had all my documents. The only 2 things that needs more updating are my savings account and IRA investment statements. I figured I could just scan and email them to her to update as we move along.
Last 3 yrs of tax returns I already have on file for personal and s corp filing.

For those of you going through the K1 process or new people thinking about this process.
I use TANGO. The app allows text, voice and video calls. The nice part about this app is you can EXPORT your chat history to an email and it is easily readable. I normally wait about 2 weeks before I export and delete chat history.
I export, check email, download the email file and then I delete my chat history. If you do not delete your chat history then it will print everything again.
I have tried a lot of video chat apps but this one takes the prize.

My friend who petitioned his wife last november of 2016 said his wife was questioned quite a bit at her POE in the US with the k1 visa. I have tried to ask what was asked but he was not there and has not really tried to ask her specifics.
Anyone with experience or specifics please share.

I don't know how all this ties in but checking at USCIS website CSC as of August 10th, was processing February 1, 2017 cases.
They are six months behind.

Maybe you can get the father to sign the letter in presence of a court or Govn official and have witness sign it as well. Just like a notary but without the seal.
I was thinking maybe their police might have a stamp of some sort to stamp the form for verification

My fiance could not get the court to state in the divorce paper that she can take the child out of country because they say not their normal procedure. Father has given permission and willing to sign and write a permission.
The country is Vietnam. They do not have notaries like we do in the USA. Any suggestion how to document authenticity without a notary in VN??

Does the beneficiary need a copy of my I129f?? If so why??
I would think she will be bringing documentation of relationship, pictures, I134 to interview. Wouldn't the CO have a copy of everything I submitted with the original I129f petitition?

I am at the early stages for a K1 visa and have been reading up on this forum. I have reviewed my I 129f and question 34a for me or a beneficiary does not ask about "have we ever met".
I am using the latest form dated 4/2017. Am I missing something??
My form the question about meeting is Page 8, part 2 question 54

I hate to derail thread but since you have been through the process with a k2 visa I wanted to ask.
Did you have to attach an I-134 form for the k2 visa as well??? Or did you just attach one I-134 to the k1 visa and will apply for the k2 visa?
