  1. Update we went today to our scheduled infopass appointment to get an expedite for the advanced parole as my husband found out after we filed that his car tabs and drivers license will expire the end of October and he needs to have no car inspected in order to renew the tabs.

the officer was not happy that we were there and made it clear that that was not considered and emergency by USCIS and that we would have to Waite. We also learned that they are processing ead's from April which means it is now taking 4 months not 3 to get the work permit and travel authorization.

i assume simply having a job offer will also be denied for an expedite as other people have posted they are pursuing as USCIS would likely ask why you applied for a job before having a work permit so why should they care.

I guess their views and our views on things are different.

i don't was my husband to have to drive illegally in an unregistered car just because he can not leave the country prior to the advanced parole is issued otherwise his application will be denied.

The link doesn't work for me. I put my zip code, it show me another office that is different for my appointment.

try a different zip code and it should list your local office I googled the zip code for Tucson az so I could also see appointments there to see if I could get one sooner. You don't have to go to the closest office to you can go to witchever one is closest or easiest to get an appointment at.

you submit service request to expedite your EAD at the same office after they took biometric or by calling USCIS office in Chicago? Thank you for your info. May you get the EAD ASAP. good luck )

I did the request through the internet you just select your office and and available time. They did also have a booth with a computer where you could do it at the Phoenix office. The website link is  https://my.uscis.gov/en/appointment/new?appointment[international]=false

I Just got back from vacation. I got 4 mails plus 1 mail for biometric. My schedule is on sep 21. I want to do the biometric ASAP(walk in), but I don't know what to say to the staff since I don't have any job offer or something. What did you guys say when you did the biometric earlier than the schedule? How to request to expedite the EAD? do you have to fill any form?

    ---

    Concurrently i130 & i485

    8/18: filed

    8/21: delivered

    8/30: texts, checks cashed

    9/21: biometric

We just showed up with our biometric letter and they never checked the date or asked any questions. As for the expedite for the travel document we made an info pass appointment the appointment took 2 weeks to get and is this coming Monday so we will keep you posted how this goes.

  5. The photo take at the biometrics appointment will be the one on your Permanent residence card not the passport photos. My husband's biometric letter had the same 2 forms listed on them my thought is that they are the only ones that require the background check so that is why they are listed on the form for the biometric appointment.

the other forms filed are just a petition but the I-765 and I-485 would lead to a immigration document directly. Hope this helps

I have the same question as you... Sent I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131 and in the biometric letter just shows I-485 and I-765...

Does anybody know if it's right? Thanks in advance :)

Ahhh another question... Do you guys know if the picture that will show in our cards will be the passport ones we sent with the application or it will be the ones we will take at the biometrics appointment? ;)

  6. I just called around to different doctors in my area and found the cheapest price I ended up paying $200 total I had my husband due to blood titers to prove immunity for mmr and varicella since he did not have true vaccine proof and had him get a tetanus shot.  I also had him due he blood test for Tv called quanteferion so he did not have to do the RN skin test (my health plan covered all the costs of the blood test titrea and vaccines fortunately) The exam was straight forward we just brought the filled out papers with along with the vaccine Information.

Below are the instructions for form I-485 edition 06/26/17:

You are NOT required to submit Form I-693 at the time you file your adjustment application, but may do so if you
wish. Because of the time-limited validity of Form I-693, you may choose to submit your Form I-693 after you file
your Form I-485. You may also submit Form I-693 in person at an interview in a USCIS field office, if an interview is
required. By waiting to submit Form I-693, you may avoid having to repeat the immigration medical examination.

You can also bring your medical exam to your biometric appointment then you don't have a delay either mail or have to worry about them not getting it

  8. So the biometric appointment was  scheduled for next week but we went today to the Phoenix AZ office and got them done no one asked why we were there early three just processed my husband. Also they allowed cell phones just had a sign saying you can't use them. We are happy he was able to come early even though the sign says by appointment only.  Also you will go through security the same deal as airport security including removing your shoes

Hey guys , case accepted and fingerprint fee received on the 7 of august 2017 routed to the national benefit center.

They said they have mailed me instructions on how my case is gonna be processed. Till date i havent received nothing in the mail.

Is this usual?  gonna appreciate your experiences.

    Thanks

Was the notification via text or mail? I was told it can take up to a month to get the fingerprint appointment and the letter would come by mail. If you have not gotten any mail in paper form I would call and let them know and make sure your address is correct.

    Congrats!! 😀

We also have the MSC code and it says national benefit center.

Not sure why we didn't receive a case number for my EAD (i765) though :/

Are you adjusting from tourist visa or something related as well? I am adjusting from B2 (overstayed). Maybe they need to accept my i485 before the i765? Aaah I am a little worried about the EAD 😅

Oh and your mail will probably take a couple more of days. Ours took 5 days after notifications. :) Good luck!! 🍀
