    Fellow F2A members,
This is going to be a long comment so hang in there with me . Based on my experience thus far , firstly the NVC call center does not have any idea when your interview will be scheduled. They are government contractors and have as much as information as you have when you login NVC website. Secondly, this may sound ironic but do not trust half the comments people post here about their prediction and opinions.  Everyone's case is different and there is no such thing as a "set time" like end of the month, start of the month schedules etc. All I would say is be patient and get your case documentarily qualified as soon as possible to get in the queue. Once you are in the queue it's just a waiting game. I know it's not easy as it sounds but you will get there. One last thing, please post your comments on this forums for other members ease of mind and our silent spectators who visit the forums and dont comment.

It will not affect your time to get green card. As far as rejection on your application is concerned uscis does not reject an application right away they first send you an rfe giving you a chance to submitt further evidence if needed and if you cannot provide that then your case is rejected and I believe even if you file again your case will be rejected as the same evidence that was asked to submit before will be asked again, so if your case is genuine then there is very little chance your case will be rejected.

The priority date of Aug 23 is the date for F2A I-130 applications being processed by California USCIS whereas the actual priority date for F2A visa as per visa bulletin published this month for the month of july is 8-Sep-2015.
So if your priority date is 8-OCT-2015 then your case should become current in August.
Although its very odd that they are not allowing you to pay fees even though you have the invoice number.
