  1. Two things the form is not expired, That's the date of the OMB authorization to collect information with that form under the Paperwork Reduction Act expires. Not the date the form expires.

I took the time and posed the question to USCIS about their website:

Hey Dan, that is really a great help. Thank you so much for taking time to get answers on my questions. I really appreciate it. Now we can fill-out the affidavit of support without worry and hope to submit the AOS within this month. :)

btw, hope your fiancee get her paper soon too. Good luck to both of you!

  2. so, i think i'll be staying home until i get my Greencard... :) hope it won't take that long...

That is a wise thing to do. You don't want to cause problems when you go to the AOS interview working with out authorization can be a bad thing. You can do volunteer work though as long as you don't get paid for that work.

EAD can be a waste of money unless you live somewhere that the local field office is known to be very slow, and you want to get a drivers license, or work right away, knowing that an AOS interview can be a long time off.

wonder how long will it take for AOS interview if we submit our papers this month?

ooppss.. another problem is, does anyone knows where to find an updated USCIS form of I-864 or affidavit of support? I went to uscis.gov site and found out that I-864 form which was revised 01/15/06 expired last 09/30/06. It also says that revised forms of I-864 dated 01/15/06, 11/05/01, 10/11/00, 01/21/98 also acceptable through 10/19/06. we don't know if they will still accept the form even if it is after 10/19/06. My I-94 expires on Oct. 23 and my husband haven't fill-out the affidavit of support because we can't get an updated form. :( does anyone can give me the link or site on where to download the form? i'll appreciate it very much.. thanks

  3. You need Employment Authorization Document to work, did you apply for EAD when applying for AOS?

Did you file form I-765 when you filed form I-485? If so then you need to wait until you have the EAD.

    See the Guide: :guides:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3ead

thanks for ur quick reply. :) No, i haven't apply for EAD and not planning to because of the comments i've read that it's a waste of money. We're still filling-out some of the forms here and hope to be done by next week.

  4. hi, i live in the State of Indiana and i'm curious if i can work and drive even if im still processing my Adjustment of Status. Do i need to wait for my Greencard before i can work or SSN is enough? I got my SSN though but need to change some information because i want to use my husband lastname on the card instead of mine. We are planning to go to SS office tomorrow and have it change. Does anyone have the same problem like mine?

  5. hi! does anyone knows where to find an updated USCIS form of I-864 or affidavit of support? We don't know if they will still accept the form even if it is after 10/19/06.

i'll appreciate it very much if anyone out there can give me the link or site on where to download the form. Thanks

I-797 is your Notice of Action. That comes to you in the mail.

The I-693A: As far as it being incomplete, I would think you might need to go to a CS and find out what to do since you say you think you are pregnant. Not sure what vaccinations are ok when pregnant, so calling to find out might be a good idea.

    Best of luck. :)

Thanks karenCee! I checked my husband files and found the I-797 on our computer drawer. :) He kept all the NOA that he received. But wonder on the validity of the Approval Notice because it says valid from 02/07/2006 to 06/07/2006... I bet its just ok and just want to make sure.

Yeah, i think ur right that's the best thing that i can do... tell the surgeon about my condition and ask what vaccinations are ok with me.

well, those paperworks makes me confuse easily :) anyway..thanks again

  7. hello! im new in this forum and this is my first post. I'm hoping i'll get a reply from u guys.. well, i've been reading alot here but didn't find anyone who has related with my problems.

I got here in a K-1 visa and got married before my I-94 expire (Oct. 23). Right now, My husband and I are processing my AOS and got some problems on the way... here it goes:

    1. i read that we need to submit a copy of I-797 notice of action, approval notice --- what is this and where i can get this?

    2. I-693 Vaccination Supplement Form. I got my vaccination record back from the Philippines and in the form it says that i still need to complete Varicella and Td (tetanus-diphtheria)because Td is not currently available in the Philippines. --- I think i'm 4 - 5 weeks pregnant right now and i am wondering if it is ok to have vaccines. If not how can i get the I-693 form from the civil surgeon if my vaccine history is incomplete?

Any suggestions will be a great help to me and to my husband. Thank u in advance...
