  2. Hello :star:

Yes, my marriage was annulled and I was given custody of the children.

The documents that the City Social Services and Dev't Office (CSSDO) asked from me:

    * Photocopies of the Certified True Copy of my Finality and Annotated Marriage Contract

(I showed them the original copies)

    * Photocopies of my children's BC

    * Barangay Clearance for CSSDO purpose

    * ITR

    * 1x1 picture for the ID

I haven't read yet cases of K2 being denied. Maybe other forum members can shed light on this as well as on full parental authority.

thank you so much for all the answers.

ez2007 - were you also annulled? what are the documents needed for solo parent ID?

    thank you so much!

when you're given the full custody, does it also mean that you have the full parental authority?

were there any cases that k2 visa are denied?

again thank you for all the replies!

hello ate vans besure that you prepare all ur annulment papers and BC of ur kids kc yan talaga unang hinanap sa akin sa immigration natin

  4. Hi all,

Relyn saw that Sharon n Jimmy shared their views of the interview so I suppose we should as well. It was quite a weekend and we didnt even know there would be an embassy to walk into. We woke up at 4am and had some breakfast and showered. It wasnt raining when we got down to look for taxi but wow the sky opened up and I'm sure thats when Sharon n Jimmy arrived. When we arrived the rain had let up a little but it was clear we needed another umbrella so Relyn bought another one.......lol. No shortage of opportunists offering to sell umbrellas. We also tried to get in the line for K-1 visas under the plastic cover. We were ordered to remove ourselves....lol.

We ended up moving down the street same as everyone else who was too early. I recommend that if youre appointment is 7am then 630am is just fine. It was cool to run into some familiar vj'ers. Familiar to Relyn anyway.

It was clear to us Mely,Jomay and Sharon that being part of the vj family was immense help. We were next to a girl that clearly was unprepared and was filling out forms for some time........The thing that kills me is they got their consul interview much earlier than Mely, Jomay and us. Sharon was gone for an hour before we got to see consul.

The prescreener was nice. She was smiling and asked both of us some questions. She asked for my tax returns and w-2's. I said do you want more than last year and she said just last year is fine. Then i offered w-2's and she said just the tax return. She didnt even ask for the I-134. She wanted Relyn's annul decree, marriage contract with remarks and decision. Also the Birth certs. Then it was time to wait again for our number to be called for the consul.

The consul was an older man. Grandpa type. He is about 65 and we could hear his booming voice over the speaker outside the door. We thought this guy would be different just becoz of his voice. He asked a couple questions of Relyn son...his age, schooling. Did he have good grades. Of course first he said, "Will you tell me the truth if i ask you some questions?" Then he turned his attention to us. Asked us to raise our right hand and he swore us to tell the truth. He reveiwed the documents and appeared to be reviewing the I-129F and other documents we provided at the prescreener and what she gave to get the number. He asked how we met, how many trips I have made, my job and where. He reviewed my previous marriages and even said their names...(two ex-spouse). He asked if I had any children and I said yes. "any under 18"? I said no. Then it was over.

No proof of ongoing relationship requested. nothing. not even the I-134. Not the letters of intent to wed (current ones).

Not the letter from employer, no bank statements

We were pleased with the way we were treated of course except for staying out in the rain. There were an awful lot of people there though.

We are very greatful for all the information and help we have received from others during this journey of ours.

Relyn and I wish everyone the very best in life.

ITS HERE!!!! RELYN WAS CRAZY WITH EXCITEMENT. DELBROS JUST DELIVERED THE VISA. I EVEN TOOK PICTURE OF HER WITH THE DELIVERY GUY. HEY DONT FORGET TO TIP THESE GUYS WHO DELIVER. I BET THEY GET RICH WITH DELIVERING SUCH HAPPY NEWS. WE ARE GOING TO SEE IF WE CAN GET WEDDING DRESSES EARLY AND THEN PULL THE TRIGGER ON AIRFARE. IT WAS JUST A LITTLE CONFUSING OF WHETHER TO OPEN THE PLASTIC TO GET TO THE PASSPORT. WE OPENED THE PLASTIC BUT DIDNT DISTURB THE MANILA ENVELOPE (BROWN). ACTUALLY THATS FUNNY WE CALL THOSE IN THE U.S. A MANILA ENVELOPE. RELYN SAYS EVEN HERE.

ANYWAY TO ALL OUR FRIENDS WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR THE GOOD WISHES. I CANT BELIEVE MAYBE IN 7 DAYS WE WILL BE ON OUR BOAT IN AMERICAN LAKE AND I WILL BE LISTENING TO RELYN TELLING ME TO SLOW DOWN. FISHING WITH M'R WILL BE GREAT TOO.

    GOD BLESS ALL,

    PATRICK (L) RELYN

    Mercy and Jim

WOW.....I was just sitting here after Relyn playing with laptop. Were still in our condo but we are checking out tomorrow morning. Then its onto Bettier Living for a few days with the rest of the family. A few days or two weeks. Were not really sure. We wanted to go to Puerto Galera but MrsArtis got her visa in just three days. We want to be available when it arrives. her mom is authorized to receive visa but we dont think she has the identification required by Delbros........

Oh by the way of course we would be god parents to your baby. It was such good news that you both are execting. We happy for you and so much more because this journey we have all lived is full of rewards.

  7. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

That's such GREAT news! I know you both must be so happy and relieved. I think they must not have asked for more proofs of relationship because you guys have been together so long that they figured it must be true love. :D *JOKE* Mirasol and I wish you the very best in your life together here in the states.

    Scott

Thanks everyone.....Relyn and I just had breakfast in our condo. I made french toast and she cooked those small red hot dogs. Its great to have that done. I was laughing because we have lived in forms and paperwork so much and after the interview I thought were done. Then of course Delbros had a form we have to fill out for the delivery. Oh my god not another form!!

I have seen before where some who have had their interview had to show very little. It was funny too because her son and I were bowling and I panicked becoz we wanted to print some pictures for interview in the morning. The most very recent photos. So she ran down to the photo place with the camera and got some printed. Even at the last minute were stressing about our "interview package". But in the end they didnt want anything.

To all have wished us congrats we appreciate it. WE ARE GRATEFUL TO ALL FOR THE HELP WE HAVE RECIEVED.

Patrick (L) Relyn BY THE WAY WE RECEIVED ONLY THE PINK SLIP. RELYN SAYS THATS GOOD!!

  10. Greetings all,

Before I declare the forms done and ready to bring to interview I just want to hear from someone who submitted their forms and also have previous marriage.

On DS-156 it asks for marital status.......well thats easy. Then it asks "spouses name" (even if divorced or separated). and then it asks spouses DOB.

I have filled out the form with her ex spouse. Should I do that or can I just put NONE. She is annuled and not married.....no spouse. although he it technically former spouse.

Even on the 156K it asks #4 Marital Status....of course then it also asks how and when was marriage terminated.

Are we required to put him anywhere on those forms as a spouse?

    Thanks for you opinions,

    Patrick

Thank you both for your thoughts. I'm just being a little paranoid and even though the annulment is all legal and we have all the documentation it just goes against my grain to call him spouse anything......lol. I will leave as I prepared it with his name listed where it says.

THREE DAYS LEFT AND I CAN GO SEE MY RELYN!!

    I'm so excited,

    Patrick

  12. This is a very good question.

For #37 of the DS-156, the question is: Are any of the following persons in the US? (it is reworded to ask the question differently) or Do they have US Citizenship? Mark yes or no... (This question is solely to idently the U.S Citizens and has nothing to do with identifying the Visa Applicant(s)).

ANSWER: The only person from the US and who has US Citizenship is of course the U.S. Citizen (USC). Therefore, for the K1 Visa, please check yes to the left of where the fiance/fiancee is located (circle the appropriate title for the USC) and put U.S. Citizen in the space provided to the right. For the remaining boxes, please check off no and put "NONE" in the space provided to the right.

    Cheers!!!

    Sheriff Uling

Thank you Ahmari for you patience with these crazy questions. And as Roy and Yazi said because her son is not my fiance then i would select "no" for that but "yes" for Relyn.

And I'm still looking for clarification on listing her ex anywhere on the forms as spouse or former spouse.....its just aggrivating to list him as spouse in any form even if divorced or annuled.

    A return CHEERS to all,

    Patrick

Not unless I'm going crazy, just getting old, or just missed the boat, there is no need or requirement to list any ex-spouses on the DS-156. I don't understand. Please advise...

On the DS 156k on question 4 it asks "If you are now married or previously answer the following".......It also asks "how and when terminated".

Then on DS 156 for questions 17,18,19 it deals with spouse. 17. Marital status...i put divorced even though annuled. 18. it asks spouses full name (even if divorced or separated) 19. it asks spouses date of birth.

  13. Ate Relyn thanks for that good info.

Well in my case, I did not box fiance... .what I marked is sister since i have sister already a citizen in US. Is that be okey????

hi dai nimfa, patrick post this question and he said its probably ok coz atleast ur telling the truth

goodluck to you lapit na interview mo :dance:

  14. Hi all, Im getting the papers ready for our K1 interview at USEM. I just want to make sure....the only thing that needs a notary service is the actual I-134? The employement letter, bank letter, DS forms...none of these need to be notarized right? Thanks

That is what i did. Actually I did that just yesterday. I went to the bank I use and they notarized free. I guess they better that where I pay my mortgage.
