Often times you can find a mini course on buying/selling a house. My old workplace offered it for a nominal fee ($50) and we had a realtor come after work couple of days to go over everything- procedures, law (radon mitigation), inspections, financing, negotiations and similar.

Very useful (we went on to sell our house the next year).

ok tks i will take some courses about that

OK.  I am not familiar with local laws or the housing market there, but in general:

    - Make sure to get a survey, to include termite check

    - Make sure to specify what comes with the house, unless it is a completely new build (ie if you view the house and it has a dishwasher, microwave, curtain rods etc, do they come with?

    - Check if the house is in a neighbourhood with a HOA.  If so, google the HOA for reputation, and make sure you get a copy of their rules before you sign anything.

    ook tks

That is a very large topic, and much depends on where you want to buy, whether you are already here or are buying while abroad, what sort of home and how much money you have )both in terms of range of house prices and will you need a mortgage etc). Can you be more precise?

i want to buy an house with 3 beds, garden if possible, in the state of colorado. about money that will depend

My wife took ESL class at a local community college. She started with minimal English when she first got here to proficient now. This is coming from her, but she said English is an easy language but you do have to put effort/practice outside the classroom setting.

how much does it cost her please?

    Yes, I did.

& I called them as well. They said they received the package.

You should call them. When you call them, please ask them about the time to take to process these documents.

I heard on the phone..The rep. said 11 weeks!!!!! Even though I think it doesn't make any sense to take that long.

But could be related to the end/start of fiscal year. Could be the rep. just a "doo doo".

I hope someone with more experiences regarding this process can help to clarify things up.

ok . yes that's 11 weeks but don't worry that not take 11weeks. they are just a delay

Yeah around here they have free classes in the library.
Or you could contact your local university and see if a student there would give you cheap one-on-one classes.

    ok tks i will

Many charities, schools and community colleges offer free or low cost ESL classes (English as a second language). It will take some time and practice to learn, but these are what I would look into first if I were you.

    ok tks

    PD Jan.22.2016 - F2A Case

All Fee Paid & DS-260 submitted electronically

AOS & IV Package sent on Aug 1st, 2017

Called NVC this morning, they said they got the documents I sent on Aug 3rd, 2017.

Also, they said have to wait 11 weeks to get the results??? That is like 3-month long process to review the case.

I thought only takes them 60 days to process these documents.

Is that because there is 1 month off per their fiscal year? Like in October?

i don't know but some people got their case completed in 6 weeks
