Hello!  my fiance is also Jamaican and is from St. Mary.  We met past year while I was on vacation in MoBay as he used to work there.  I had never been to Ochi before so in February we spent 12 days in that area and I fell in love.  No tourist stuff, just spent time with his friends up in Content Retreat, went to the river and swam, drank rum and had curry chicken.  He made THE BEST food every day (we got a little airbnb on the beach in Ochi town center) like akee and salt fish, coconut rice and brown stew chicken.....  I've been practicing his techniques on my friends and so far the reviews have been good!  I was just i JAI last month and am hoping to go back in August but the flights are so expensive.  We are April filers but it's great to see other women on here that also found their love in Jamaica.  Best of luck to you both!

Nice. My fiance is from Lucea, which is in P.O. Hanover; he's like 30-35 mins for Negril. August is good time to go because that's the week of their Emancipation so they will have a parade and different festivities going on on the island. If you can make the interview, I would. It helps makes the interview a little smoother if they see the US citizen there. I've also read that SOMETIMES they will let them come back to get their visa in a few days (as long as the medical and paperwork is there and approved - that's what I'm hoping for; it will spare me the extra trip to fly back with him here). But after his HORRIBLE experience he had during his attempted POE last year, I will definitely be there side by side for everything and anything.

My son is 14 and yes he's really excited. Keeps addressing me by Mrs. Whitmore (which will be married name soon). They talk to each other through video and chat but he really wants to go meet him in Jamaica. But since my son is considered an adult in regards to pricing, everything is full price, unlike for a child under 10-12. So it's definitely a lot.
