When i Applied for AOS it took more then 2 Years to have My Name-check Pending to be Complete that too with the intervention of Our Senator. For N400 , I have my Biometrics taken on Aug 12, 2009 and on Aug 22 got an Email Alert saying that my paper work is being transferred to Our Local office to schedule for an Interview, Still No Physical Letter received Yet.

I got the letter with the interview appointment now. It's scheduled for October 5th. The divorce will be probably final on September 25th.

Should I wait that long and tell everything during the interview or should I try to contact someone? I already tried to call USCIS, but gave up after 20 minutes of listening to "if you calling regarding.... press 5..". They just don't have an option to speak to someone there. Should I maybe contact an attorney, who knows anything bout stuff like that??

I would recommend you to be fair and honest with INS about what has happened so that you don't jeopardize your chances for filing again even if this one fail at the expence of cost($675) and Time( 2 Years).

What i understand is since your husband filed divorce at a very stage when you are inch closer to getting citizenship, he intentions were pretty clear to ruin your chances!

I am hoping INS does not deny your case, coz you are still married and have filed with every Document that is needed (Ned to have last 3 years of Joint TAX filings & Kid(s) birth certificates & joint financial statements ) married and lived with USCIS for 3years.

Anyways finally Your case outcome would result in how the IO officer looking more of technical side or on humanitarian Grounds

Can someone please update the chart for me.....my interview letter is dated 08/19/2009 and my interview date is 10/05/2009. I won't actually meet the residency requirement until 10/15/2009 so I'm wondering what they'll do (hold off on approval for ten days?).

I have seen quite a good number of folks getting interview-Date falling prior to their 90 day completion since the time of their filing.Technically speaking 2 years and 9 Months is the mandatory period to get Qualified to apply for naturalization and USCIS wants to use these 90 Days as bufferzone for Processing time(s) to be inline with 3 year Period, instead of adding extra time built on top of three years. Anyways Good luck on Your interview, Unless Your Local office is not doing oath on the same day , by the time you get OATH letter, this Gap will vanish

all it says is that the application was received and to wait for more info... basically same info i got in the first letter saying that they got the application

It shows your application has never been touched, meaning no movement.The only options you have is get a info-pas appointment and know what was wrong, I sympathize that you have to go all thru this...

Since you got ur NOA type in ur nba*xxxxxxxxxx number at urlsite and see what status mesage you get?

ADDITIONAL EVIDENCES ARE FINGERPRINTS ETC.I DIS MY FINGERPRINTS ON 7/23 AND TODAY I CALLED USCIS AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY INTERVIEW IS SCHEDULE FOR NEXT MONTH AND I WILL BE RECIEVING LETTER WITHIN 30 DAYS. SHE DID NOT GIVE ME THE DATE AS THEY CANNOT GIVE THIS INFORMATION ON PHONE .

I have quick question for these who applied for naturalization based on the marriage to a U.S. citizen,

I just wonder if I have enough documents referring to my spouse. This is my case: married for almost 6 years, 2 kids, GC holder for 3 and half years. We have a checking account, health insurance, auto insurance, credit card and tax returns with both our names on it. My name doesn't appear on a morgage documents or any other bills. Do you think it is enough evidence to proof my marriage?

Hi, I plan on bringing a lot of pictures, plane tickets from our trips, and some letters/emails from our families to us in addition to the banks statements, car and life insurance, taxes, and apartment lease agreement. We also have a family pass at a gym and a national park annual pass for the last several years with both our names on it. I think that this should be enough, but of course no one will be able to tell for sure until the interview.

Please Don't make your self insecure whether you have enough documentation and Scare others too for Gathering extra Documents more then what is Needed. If you read the documentation Needed for N400 you will understand what they are looking for...I have been following so closely people who had Successful interviews and learnt The Process works like this

1)

If you have Kids then High waitage( almost >80% chances to get convinced) AND Last 3 years of Joint TAX filing (rest 20% chances to Get Convinced ) Should Get it

2)

if No Kids were Born during these 3 years then High Priority goes to last 3 years of Joint TAX filing(almost >80% chances to get convinced) + Other Stuff like Joint Insurences and Bank statements or Utility Bills ( Need not be on both persons name..You can have wireline bill in your Name and wireless in Your spuce name provided both has same mailing address

3) If you Do Not have 1 and 2 then worry about Pictures, passport, Leases, affadavits from others, accounts, Credit cards, Travel docs.... what all that you can come up with..

My Situation is i am doing a lot of travelling, so I am kind of wondering whether it is Mandatory that we have to go to the same local office on same day for Biometric Appointment or Can we go to a place where ever there is USCIS office and get Finger Printing Done either by walk In or Infopass? .
