  1. Hi all

So had my visa interview appointment just before Christmas for the end of January.

Just wondering which embassy to go to! The new embassy in London has just opened and am a little confused as I think in my appointment letter it gives the old embassy address!

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

  2. Hello all,

Apologies if this is a repost.

    Just received my interview appointment!

Was going though the required documents section and stumbled upon something that may be an issue.

While in university, I served in the RAF reserves.

I have my discharge papers from the forces when I left. Will this be sufficient at the interview? My guess is that they want to make sure you left the force and are not AWOL etc.

    Thanks for the replies.

  3. It's not been a problem so far for me and my wife.

Wife is us citizen, I'm British also!

We got married last January in the USA, the day before I left for the UK. Like you, I had other commitments back here in the UK.

So far, we have only had one delay in the process, where a lawyer failed to pick up a mistake on the affidavit!

I've just received my interview date today! Interview is end of January. So will give you a rough timeline of the process.

And yes, long distance really sucks, but don't worry, all will be fine. Everyone on this site has been brilliant at answering any question I've had about the process! So please any questions ask away!

    Best of luck

  4. Hello all.

Just received an email from the NVC stating that they are going to schedule the interview!

However, they have stated that some of my wifes' tax information is missing.

The year in question is 2016, my wife was not in the states or working for that year as she was studying abroad.

Pretty sure this has been stated on the previous forms that we have filled in, but just a little unsure.

Don't want to go to the interview and find out we've missed something!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  5. Letter states the following;

    ______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________
We reviewed your I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A Affidavit of Support form and supporting financial

    Thanks,

  6. Hi everyone,

Just received the dreaded email from the NVC stating that our documents have errors or are incomplete.

All the forms, before we submitted them were reviewed by an immigration lawyer who stated they were complete! The errors i understand, however it seems like they wanted me, a UK citizen and beneficiary, to fill out form I-864?

To my understanding, as the beneficiary, my income in the UK didn't matter.

I have worked on a US summer camp in the past, don't know if that is where the confusion is?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Tom

  7. Hello all.

Currently stuck in the waiting game at Potomac with a case date of 8th Feb. Looking at all the tools and feedback on here guessing the noa2 will be a little while yet.

    Questions are;

1: is it recommend to travel to the states while case is processing?

2: once noa2 is issued, will need to get medical, guessing this can be booked once we have a nvc number?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best of luck with all your cases!
