if you are the only sponsor and the person you are sponsoring is your spouse than you can do i864ez.

if you have any kind of joint sponsor than i864.  for my wife i only did i864ez since i met all the income requirements.

i went through this in 2018.

I advice people to download and print instructions , its all in there exactly what they need and want .

    thank you for the response.

yes i am the only sponsor(as i have last 3 years tax return and meet minimum income) and only sponsoring my wife.

    3 year tax  return

letter from company stating you are permanent employee and salary mentioned.

3 months pay stabs are enough.

i also included my social security statement as additional income evidence but not required

that is what my understanding is but there was someone who have a different experience on this

    You filed a Form I-130 petition for your relative;

There is only one applicant on the Form I-130 petition; and

The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Forms W-2 provided by your employer(s) or former employer(s)."

It will be good to have your urdu nikah nama translated in English by a translator.

    As per NVC:

"All documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country in which you are applying for a visa, must be accompanied by certified translations. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator stating that:

    • The translation is accurate, and
    • The translator is competent to translate."

    thank you once again

    Hi,

Here is the link which you need to be looking at now to get an idea what needs to be done:

    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/after-petition-approved.html

It lays out all the steps for the NVC process. You can definitely start collecting the documents that you will need to submit with the application to NVC. You can get an idea of the documents from these links:

    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-4-collect-financial-documents.html

thank you so much for reply

    i will have a look

They want the recent tax transcript so you are good with 2018, but it is good to send them the 2017 as well.

Yeah if your income is above the poverty line which is 125% then you are good to file I-864.

For any reason if your income doesn't meet the requirement you can get another household to file I-864A for you.

    thank you for the response.
