This is how I sent my files in, look image below. I sent 4 files, labeled packet 1,2,3 & 4. This includes I-485 App to adjust status, I-864 Financial Support, I-765 EAD & Travel Ap I-131. I included on each packet the required evidence and documentation. Therefore there many repeats, like 3 copies of G1145, 3 copies of certified marriage licence (1 orginal, 2 copies), 3 copies of I-90.

I figured since these forms are processed separately, I wanted to make sure they were well organized with the requested documents.

We did the same but without the pretty binders. No rfe/RFIE yet at least. RD MARCH 08, recent ead approval. I like to think it has made a difference :)

What I'm doing in California is:

    1. After getting new EAD, I submitted an application to have my SS card updated from my former name to my new name - I did this via the SS paper application over snail mail - this is for free.

    2. My DMV says after getting my new SS card, only then can I change my DL name. I can already renew my DL for one more year with the EAD, but I'm waiting for the SS card with the new name to hit two birds with one stone.

Still waiting after two weeks for my new SS card.

Thanks, that info is very useful.

My wife will use that mail in method to do the ssid name change after interview and I'll be doing it presumably to remove conditions on mine.

New card being produced (EAD) on day 106, interestingly this was exactly 3 months from the last update.

Got a notice this morning that the card had been mailed on Friday 6/23.

They must either be conservative on the production notice or the production process & mailing is really fast?

Thoughts are with those waiting and stressed out.

    Good morning everyone!

I just got my EAD in the mail last saturday.
Now, my next step is going to Social Security to do a change name and removal of conditions with the social security with my existing social security card. Would you guys know which documents I need and do I need photocopies for it?

Thanks you and I hope everbody's doing well 1f642.png

That is something I need to figure out too. I know for the dl or dl extension you need a copy of the approval notice or back and front of card. I expect it is the same for ssid for removal of conditions.

    I hope it can mailed.

Ill keep a look out to see what you find or post something if I work it out.

Ok just trying to get an idea of how things are going for March filers.

Comment below on who's waiting for EAD, AOS or both. If you got approved how long did you wait, was there an RFIE or RFE, and type of visa originally filed i.e. K1 (fiancée visa)

Yes I could just go through everyone's timeline but this puts it all in one place for everyone.

I know each case is different and I shouldn't use other peoples to figure out mine. But I'm impatient! And now that the wait is. Beyond the 90 days I have the itch. I know there are people still waiting well beyond 100 days and it's sad.

Thanks ahead to anyone who posts!

    As at 6/23/2017

What's the status of the AOS applications? Which days/month is USCIS processing?

I know I might have to wait for a couple of weeks until I get a new status update. I'm just curious.

I think it is fair to say they are processing AOS applications November 2016 through May 2017, however the website suggests that AOS applications that are newer than November 2016 are 'within normal processing time'.

I called today and they told me to call back in 30 days (remember that we were approved for ead on April 22 and still haven't received it!) I was furious so I call again to speak to someone else. They said they could see the card has not been made yet so they would send a request to change the expiration date and find out why it hasn't been sent yet. Translation we are still waiting. I've lost all patience. If anyone has advice or helpful words it's appreciated.

I imagine you've tried the card not received specific service request?

Good luck to you! I am just a little bit confused about the timeline. How many days are you supposed to be receiving EAD? Thanks!

The USCIS aims to make a decision on approving your EAD within 90 days of receipt of your application in accordance with regulation.

There are a few exceptions. The USCIS website has a lot of information on this.

Ok, i got mail from USCIS.

It says "our review indicates that this case is within our current processing time."

Yeap, 106 days. i wonder how many days should pass for not to be in their current processing time. :D good morning everybody btw :D

I got the same thing and we are either on the same number of days since received or one apart.

I think they are using the processing times 'as of' date, which is strange since the 90 day thing is independent of that.

I literally just got an update saying card produced. You might not be that far away.

After my request put online about the EAD last week was returned a day later via email with this:
    'Type of service requested:
     -- Beyond Committed Processing Time
The status of this service request is:
Our review indicates that this case is within our current processing time. We regret any misunderstanding. If you do not receive a decision or notice of other action within our current processing time, check our website for an update or call customer service at the number provided below.'

Today I went to my local USCIS Field Office with a scheduled appointment which was set up before I placed a service request. I was in and out of the building within fifteen minutes and was told that they have been for the last month trying to schedule and interview for the AOS and are finalising biometrics for the EAD and AP. I was really worried that I hadn't received post/mail that was sent to my address and they were waiting for a response! Thankfully it is just the USCIS being slow about things.

It's day 98 for the EAD so I'm glad the field office cleared my mind up a lot. Just have the long or potentially short wait to go :)

That's great news from your field office visit.

I had the virtually the same SR response. I'm thinking their case load is particularly high right now rather than a problem with your application :-)

Hoping for good news tomorrow for the rest of us!!

I think next week is gonna be a hot week for those of us still waiting to hear about EAD status!!!

    sending positive vibes to everyone!!!

I hope you are right for everyone's sake.

Using the USCIS performance figures and extrapolating is a little dicey as we are assuming that they have not been falling behind as of April 30. Still, can't be too far away for most.

Today is my 104th day of waiting since my receipt date, March 7, 2017. Seeing some of you guys getting their ead makes me glad and fret at the same time...I'm very anxious to go to work now and just staying at home, just like most of you guys, is putting a toll on me. I've sent a service request which turns out are just vague words put together to form an obsolete message that's "supposed" to assure applicants that they are working on their documents. I am an applicant from Dallas, TX and I just don't know what to do. Can't blame anyone for what's happening, don't have any ways to get my frustration out either. I apologize, I know negative vibes ruins most things but I can't hold it in anymore.

We have almost the same dates. I'm not in the same position as you with work or driving.

A key thing I remind myself of is that I'm with my partner, no longer separated by ocean for long periods and living in far less uncertainty.

You're right! Completely spaced out, those are different Service centers.

Still think that currently processing time of middle January seems way off though.

Ah damn. I really liked that date.

Yeah some October filers without rfe/name check wait are still waiting and some May 17 filers with rfe have had their ead for a while. I guess it is just telling us whether our case is behind or not.

I hope everyone in need gets positive news soon.

These dates you found are way off. If you go into the Nebraska Service Center section you find the following processing time which seem more accurate (see picture below). That date is as of April 30,2017.

    IMG_3746.PNG

I understood that Nebraska Service Center and NBC/MSC (National Benefits Center) were different entities.

If your case has been forwarded to Nebraska I would expect your table to be the right one to use.

    Hey all

NBC processing times have been updated, current as of June 14

They are processing applications as of January 2017. While some will be behind this date most who have a PD slightly before this should get an update soon.

On top of the table it says: field office processing dates for nbc as of: April 30 2017. Yes they did update the website on June 14 but not the schedule that's still on April 30.

Correct, the data is stale and I imagine always trailing behind given how the information is gathered. However none the less the date has moved forward since I checked last week?

So they have a backlog of ... 5 months??! -.-

It isn't clear to me whether than means there is a backlog of 5mo.

The 'processing cases of' date is meant to tell us whether our individual cases are within the expected  processing time. If your PD (received date, or if RFE/RFIE the response received date) is newer than this date the case is in 'normal processing time' otherwise, you're out of of it and are eligible to escalate with USCIS.  One exception is i-765 EAD, which is is targeted for completion before 60 or 90 days of PD depending on the case category. Many of us are outside of this window but I'm sure they're working hard to help.

From this forum and others it would appear many get adjudicated well before this date, in some cases a few months earlier. Unfortunately the measure less like a speedo and more like the light that comes on when you're near empty.

I think the update is positive as it shows NBC i-765 (ead) processing cases of date has moved up significantly.

Is there anyone who has already got his/her interview date? What month are they processing right now?

It is truly all over the place, I see an April filer is ready to be scheduled, there is at least one march filer with an interview date and plenty of older applications pending without update including those with no update on EAD nor AOS for over 150 days.
