  1. With Adjustment of status (AOS), it does exactly that. It adjusts your status from tourist to legal permanent resident and you have to stay in the country while that happens.

I arrived in the US and my husband and I got married 32 days after. We filed for Adjustment of Status and I received my green card 5 months later. Once you file for adjustment of status and it is received and accepted by USCIS, you are legally permitted to remain in the US until it is approved/denied. You do not return home before you receive your green card. If you do, the case is considered abandoned and your application would no longer be processed. I am not sure if there are any special circumstances that would allow for someone to leave the US and return but generally that is the rule. I'm not sure how it works when you already have a K1 in process, but generally you would be able to apply for AOS once you are married. The K1 is a one time entry visa and would be null and void once your fiance enters the country on it. Once you get married you would be applying for AOS any way, so it makes sense to go ahead and do that now as all the K1 allows him to do is enter the country and he's already here. You might have to withdraw your current K1 application before applying for AOS, I'm not too sure. Maybe someone else could chime in on that.

Hi all - wanted to give my fellow SRC applicants some hope!

    April 30th, 2019 - Receipt date

    November 13th, 2019 - Fingerprints Updated

April 16th, 2020 - New Card Being Produced!

No RFE, no interview, no office transfer

Because of your post, I checked my status and my card was mailed out yesterday!! Same office and also no RFE, interview or transfer.  Thanks for sharing!

  3. All,

I just checked my case status and MY CARD WAS MAILED TO ME YESTERDAY!!!!!! It says I should receive it by May 5, 2020.

    Case number SRC 1900-340-XXX

Glad to be finally done with all this until I feel like applying for citizenship. Looks like all of our April 2019 cases are being pushed through now. Thank goodness for that in the midst of all this craziness.

  4. I received my text confirmation exactly a month ago today (4/24) and my extension letter a few days later. I'm wondering if I should have had a biometrics letter by now? Do they send you a letter to let you know that you won't need one or do they just not send anything if it's not necessary? I'm hoping it didn't get lost in the mail or something....How soon does the biometrics letter usually come?

I hope not. The window opened on April 27th on Saturday. My package was delivered on Monday April 22nd. So far we haven't received any communication from them. I'm getting worried now 😓

Not to worry, if they do send it back all you'll have to do is resend it. You'll just have to pay again for shipping but it's better to have it sent back because you're too early than too late.

Fingers crossed 🤞. I didn't know when to send and found out after I came back to this place. Hopefully they accept it.

Oh, I totally misunderstood. I thought it was 5 days before the 90 day window closed. I didn't realise it was before it opened. Yeah, unfortunately they may send it back. As far as i understand, they are pretty strict with that.

What happens if your package is delivered 5 days before 90 days?

It's cutting it close but you should be okay. Most people are getting the notifications a couple of days after delivery. Mine was delivered on a Friday and I got the confirmation text the following Wednesday, 5 days later (I'm assuming it was that long because of the weekend).

Looks great! I agree on not taking the risk of paying by credit card. I'll pay by check, too.

Just a heads up, I think you accidentally left your address in the ninth point on your evidence list. Might want to remove that. :)

Thank so much. Totally missed that. Thankfully, I don't live there anymore but trying to figure out how to get it removed. It's not giving me an edit option anymore.

  9. Thanks. It turns out that the addresses are the same and it is indeed a lockbox location.

That is incorrect link. The link you provided is for I-765 filing in certain cases.

Correct link is https://www.uscis.gov/i-751 then click where to file.

Thanks. It turns out that the addresses are the same and it is indeed a lockbox location.

  10. I want to send in the Credit Card Authorization form with my I-751 but I'm unsure if the location below is a lock box.

    For U.S. Postal Service (USPS):

    USCIS
    P.O. BOX 660480
    Dallas, TX 75266

For FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries:

    USCIS
    Attn: I-751
    2501 S State Hwy 121 Business
    Suite 400
    Lewisville, TX 75067

    Can anyone confirm?

  11. I have a question, how do you know if it is a lockbox facility?

According to the USCIS site, I have to file my I-751 at:

    For U.S. Postal Service (USPS):

    USCIS
    P.O. BOX 660480
    Dallas, TX 75266

For FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries:

    USCIS
    Attn: I-751
    2501 S State Hwy 121 Business
    Suite 400
    Lewisville, TX 75067

But it doesn't say anything about a lock box, I want to send n the credit card form but I want to be sure first so that it doesnt get rejected.

    Thanks

  12. Another April filer here 👋

We'll be sending it off on 4/15 via fedex or UPS i think. I'm a little apprehensive to use USPS

My conditional GC expires 5/16, I was hoping to send it in right as the 90 day mark but life has been so busy, we're only getting the chance to do it now.

    - Spectrum Cable Account statement in my name showing mutual address 2019 (we moved recently and our account number changed, so could only print the latest statement and will look for any physical statements i can find around the house to include)

    - Sprint Cell Phone Statements in Husband's name . It also shows the other number on the account is assigned to me. I also highlighted all of our phone calls to each other on each statement 2016 -2019 (I didn't print every statement for the last 3 years, I did 3 months out of each year) \

    - Renters Insurance in my name but with Husband showing as additionally insured  2016 - 2019

Does this look like enough? Is there anything else that i'm missing? Do I need to include our marriage certificate?
