Dear All - Completed the naturalization process yesterday. It was a brief session for about an hour or so - about 79 people naturalized yesterday in Detroit. There was another session later in the day with a similar number of naturalizations. Best wishes for a smooth and expedited process completion to all those who are in line with the process..

No, they gave me a letter with sticker that had my name and address printed on it.. some other details were handwritten though and most part of the letter was standard pre-printed content..

@Mehrdad576 and all, yes had the interview today and was approved. They gave me the oath letter for 25th September.   Sorry, for the delayed posting. was a hectic day with back to back activity outside through the day.  overall the interview was about 20 minutes and they asked me to wait for the oath appointment letter for about 30 minutes.. visa officer was polite, had questions such as father of the nation, number of house representatives, which was was fought in 1900s etc. She went through all questions in the application and also  took time to verify the in/out details in my passport with what I had given in the application. I also mentioned about the traffic citations that I had not mentioned in my application initially. She made notes and mentioned that those were ok and wouldn't disqualify. At the end, she also suggested what to do for the passport. overall good experience. Wishing all of you the best as well in the N400 journey..

I did not realize at the time of filing that I was supposed to disclose ANY traffic violation. 

 I have, in my past received 2 traffic ticket (one in 2009 and another one in 2013 - 
both below $100) and I paid both on time. I just called the municipalities to send me records showing that my tickets were paid. 

You think this can lead to denial of my application? I plan to take the ticket payment proof to the interview and show it to the interviewer and kindly ask for an update on my form. 

I am worried about this. GAHHHH

 

wow.. I have made same mistake - I have had about 3 traffic tickets in different states, but have paid the fines on time.. don't did not know that traffic tickets are considered citation.. worried now   I don't have records of those tickets as well

@Mehrdad576 Any updates on your case? I received SMS on Jul 9th that my case is "updated" but didn't find any change online.. I am still waiting for interview to be scheduled, since moving in line on June 2nd ..

Friends - Same here, I received an SMS couple of hours ago. I checked online and my status remains as it was before. I went in line on June 2nd and waiting for interview date..

My local office is Detroit.. On USCIS website it shows they are processing N400 applications as on October 7, 2016

I have been checking my status like 5 times a day. I really need to chill out. lol

@himalayanV It has been about 4 weeks since I went in line as well, still waiting to know the interview schedule .. I am not sure if I should keep my original plan of out of country travel plan in November & December for 6 weeks..

I was under impression that early filing or otherwise - the processing time is same(based on backlog etc), just that the "wait time" is factored in some form either prior to filing of application or afterwards.. Maybe I misunderstood..

I'm an early filer. I can help verifying the theory :). My GC date is 08/07/2012, I got my biometric done on 06/21. According to the theory, I should be placed in line for the interview 1 month before my 5 year anniversary date so it will be on 07/07. I will keep everybody posted. Good luck everyone. 

My GC date is 07/26/11.. Am I to expect something today

@laufine and @susysteele - did you get your interview dates? I received email on 2nd June that my case is in line for interview but not sure yet the actual date for interview.. I assume there will be separate email/mail once the actual date is scheduled.

Completed fingerprints today.. Took 15 minutes end to end..

No, I did not. I just added the case to my profile on uscis website and enabled email/SMS notifications..
