OMG. Just got a letter for my interview!! It is on March 18.
Any tips and suggestions?
I am so excited!
Make sure you bring all the documents they asked to bring, also along with that get few latest evidence such as 2-3 months bank statement/utility bill if it is marriage based application.
Prepare civics test and most importantly be relaxed.
i was very tensed but the interview process was very easy and chilled.

Anyone in this group who has already been naturalized, could you let me know if you are dine with SSN, Driver license update? and how was it?
Thank you

I think the time line is similar in for all ways of naturalization. it all depends on each persons application. The more a person traveled to different country or lived in different state in USA, the background check takes time. once that is done you are in a queue as First come first serve.
I know some one whose got naturalized through Work visa and the timeline of filing the N400 and getting interview date was similar to mine.

I know a lot of people here are getting naturalized after immigration through marriage. All things being equal, does anyone think that the naturalization process is quicker for those who immigrated through avenues other than marriage?

I had my N400 interview yesterday Jan27th 2020 at 12:45 PM. The security personal was very strict didn't allow us to enter before 12:30 PM . I went to 2nd floor after security check also checking in a counter in ground floor.
Waited 15 mins in waiting hall in 2nd floor and my name was called by an Agent who took me to her office , put me on oath and then started asking yes/no questions from the form. asked me my Id, green card, passport and SSN. and then returned my DL,SSN and passport and kept my GC.
Make me write two sentences in a TAB " 1. Columbus Day is in October & 2.Washington DC is the capital of USA" .
Reading test - "when do we celebrate Columbus Day"
Civics Test
1. Who is the speaker of the house
2. How many voting member in US house of rep
3. First President
4. Why do we have 50 stars in US Flag
5. Forgot the other two questions
But i answered all 6 correctly and then she again started with yes/no questions . i didn't mention my Traffic ticket for stop sign , so when she asked i said yes one stop ticket and i paid the fine,. she wrote that in her computer, i was scared about that, she made me sign that info in the tab.
She said all looks good and the system will do a quick background check and we should be good. but her system kept on showing pending status and it was nerve racking for me and she said her system is slow and that could be the reason for the delay. she kept on refreshing the page few times, took 3-5 mins for the screen to show approved and then she printed few pages and said you are approved and i will give you an oath ceremony now .
then she gave me an oath ceremony and took me too the hall and gave me my naturalization certificate a flag and some pages in envelop on how to file my passport. yaay HAPPY this is over.
Thank you guys.

My interview is scheduled for Jan 21st, so not too long to wait.
It doesn't mention anything about my pending I-751 or if I should bring my wife to the interview, so I'm going to have to try and find out if it will be a combo interview
Hey how did your interview go? could you please share your experience pls, I have my interview on 27th January. Thank you

My interview letter appeared online the next day, got the paper notice in the mail 5 days later
23 hours ago, palolis said:You should wait for the NOA (Notice of Action) to arrive in the mail. You will also be able to see it tomorrow under the documents section on My USCIS. You can download it and print it of you don't receive the original copy in the mail before your interview.
My interview NOA took 10 days to arrive (in Denver).
I'm an April filer and my interview is in 6 days (N-400).
Thank you, I did checked the document section today but i don't see any NOA letter uploaded there . but i will keep monitoring it and let you guys know if i have something.
@palolis Good luck for your upcoming interview and do let us know your experience pls.

I have a question and wanted to see if anyone in this group would know.
I submitted a copy of the original of my husband's naturalization diploma or whatever you call it,lol, as well as his divorce decree. It says if I submitted a copy of it I have to bring the original to the interview, but how am I suppose to be able to submit the original when applying online?🤔 Does the one i submitted then count as the original or i really have to bring the actual originals to the interview?
Submit the scan copy of all the documents and carry the actual copy to the interview.

I have nothing from USCIS in my informed delivery. Let's see what happens in the next few days
My estimated date is Feb 2021 so 3 months from now. I am still hopeful 🤞
I think the mail which i will be receiving is for biometric reuse, i just noticed in my USCIS online account that there is a biometric reuse letter uploaded even though the status is not changed.

I see the same thing, but i do see in my USPS Informed Delivery that i am receiving some mail from USCIS. will know about the mail by evening when mail gets delivered
