  1. Just mailed off my I-751 and I realized I left the “USCIS online account number blank” my husband does not have one.... Should I have wrote “none” on there? Also when I typed the form our first initial and last name auto populated on the declaration area so I one line crossed it out and filled in our names completely and wrote the explanation for the cross out at the back of the form.... lastly I labeled my folders and place my paperwork in that instead of the sticky tabs at the bottom.... Will I get an rfe for any of that????? I’m freaking out now

Great news guys!! We just got approved 3 hrs ago! I'm elated, I'm happy, I'm full of excitement right now!   Now that our visa journey is over, I wish all of you guys the best of luck with your approvals.  If you need any assistance keep in touch!

CONGRATS!!!!! I just recieved our interview letter are it request a bank letter..... Is this to show my balances or just to see if I have an open account in the US.  I am the USC.....

  3. I am now at the NVC step.... I recently got promoted and the new job I will start will put me over the poverty lines.  My question is am I able to use i864ez with employment letter and paystubs? My transcripts for the previous years do not meet poverty guidelines.....  Or am I to use i864?  I guess my confusion is on the instruction checklist for the i864ez says the income has to be on the w2's and because of just getting this job my income will not be on my previous w2's.... Help!!

i just got an update about my case saying

    "current status

Case was sent to the Department of State"

and to check back in 6 weeks"

what would that mean? any idea?

On your time line it's states you got your approval on July 30, 2017 which is a typo. Can you please update it so the estimated timeline is more accurate for everyone one else on VJ.... and a big congrats to you!!!!

I think if you started working now, since it will be several months by the time you submit anything to the NVC...then an employment letter should be good, along with maybe a few months worth of pay stubs (not sure exactly on how many pay stubs are sufficient). I also read that someone on here included a letter from their supervisor stating that they were very happy with their work and wants to continue employing them...that could be really helpful as well!

Thanks so much for the feedback!!!!

After doing a lot of research tonight I see that my dad & I each have to fill out the I-864 & my mom will have to fill out the I-864a since they file jointly. I'll submit their last 3 years of tax return transcripts along with just one year of mine (2016). Better for me to be safe & include the joint sponsor now! The USCIS has the forms on their website so you can see what info you will need, along with detailed instructions on how to fill out the form, so I'm feeling a little better lol. If you can get to the U.S. & lock down a job, you can have your employer provide a letter stating your employment & salary...that would help...but that's great that you have the sponsor...that will be more important I think. Good luck to you as well, we're all in this together! :)

If you just began working will an employer letter alone be satisfactory?
