Hi everyone!

My nexus card is about to expire in May and have been looking to renew it for a while. I'm in the process of removing conditions (applying for the 10 year green card) and have gotten a 18 month extension in the mean time.

In the application, it asks for the expiry date of my green card and because it is expired. I am not sure which expiry date to include?

For those who have to renew their driver's license (NC in particular), were you able to renew your license online or did you go to the in person to the DMV?

Got my NOV on Friday or Saturday! Just a little under a month!

How long did it take for USCIS to cash in your check after your package gets delivered?

Just sent in my i751! Hopefully, it makes it to the right place

I know we don't have to send as much information, but did you guys copy your passport and other pages in your passport?

go over the copy of your form on your computer just to make sure it was in the correct form. Glance back in your memory ensuring it was signed by you and your partner if filing jointly

also look back over the credit card form you filled out

 

i know this because I had to check my package over 20 times and I found out so many issues 

 

once that is done then you can give them a call Or an email

Just curious, what are some of the issues you faced while checking your package?

Just curious for those who sent in evidence for authorized users on credit card. Did you photocopy your credit cards and leave out the last 4 digits? or did you have a statement with both of the names? I know Chase doesn't show the authorized user and i don't feel good about photocopying the credit card.

In the states that have those kinds of clauses I do not believe there is a way around them. If there was the ins broker would know. Visit a broker and see what they say.

 

Also I think I probably have the record for the highest ins bill. Just FYI in some states "year" policies are actually only 6 months! For our "year" policy- which is actually only 6 months we pay.... 485$....a month. 2 cars. 500 deductible/full coverage  

excuse me for bring up an old topic! I am in NC now and my husband found out our insurance went up from 800 to 2k! We were quoted for 2 cars at 800/6 months when we got a new car and 2 months later they increased the cost to 2k and their reason was because i'm a new driver. Mine you I got my NC license in Nov 2018, so they already have my info when I had to get liability insurance for the NC drivers license. They told me they didn't have any info on my Canadian(Ontario) license and I should get them an abstract to prove my driving experience. (end rant) 

I just wanted to know how long does "new driver" last? and who's your insurance provider?

I bought my DS-3025. Before I did the interview, the letter asked for another exam because it wasn't updated or they didnt have it. When I did the interview, the officer said I shouldn't need another exam but if you have it, he would take it. I told him I didn't and said it was fine.

That was all we sent with our AOS packet. It was checked complete and about 5 months old at the time we submitted it in the AOS packet. We had no issues.

I hope so! They keep asking for information on things I've sent. Kind of frustrating

Hi friends, this is more of a reassurance than anything else. I just received my interview date for AOS on Aug 21. They requested documentation for Medical Exam and Vaccination record(Form i-693). I had sent a copy of the DS3025 with the AOS package, so who knows. I was wondering if the DS3025 is sufficient enough since the medical hasn't hit its one year mark yet (I did it on 10-19-2017). or should I be getting a new one done?

Today, I received an official interview notice for I-485 which is scheduled for Aug 22nd. It has all the generic stuff in it except one part...

 

There was a second sheet and on it is says attachment and below it says that submitted I-693 is either expired or my file does not contain a valid I-693 form. I am very confused... I submitted I-693 at the time of filing which was way less than 1 year ago. Also, the USCIS did not send me the courtesy letter about I-693 that most people get when they do not submit medical form at the time of filing. Has anyone experienced the same issue? If so, how did you resolve it? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Im at the same field office as you!! My interview is on Aug 21. A day before yours. I also received the same requested information and was looking for more information about this!

We brought a copy of our marriage certificate and the NOA1 for the I-485, however we never needed to show those documents. The officers only looked at his passport and combo card. We waited together in the secondary inspection area for about 1 hour, but they didn't ask us any questions. I assume they just checked on things behind the scenes to make sure everything was valid. ahh that's good to know! I'm just worried I won't be able to come back without him. Hence, I'm leaving first then he will join me later and we will leave together.

I was wondering what papers did you bring for a smooth transition coming back to the US? experiences?

So we just had our interview this morning (Raleigh, NC field office). After waiting for a bit, we had a very young officer greet us. He asked the standard questions and it was all over after just 10 minutes. Unfortunately, we did not get approved on the spot. He said that he would now review the documents but "everything else looks good to me." I've already received updates about my I130 that the interview was concluded and the form is now "under review." I really want the "card being in production" update soon! I am relieved but also not.. a clearer answer would have been nicer (he gives us the standard "if you don't hear back from us within 30 days, do an InfoPass appointment).

Congrats! I'm at the same field office but I'm waiting for an interview still!

But we gave them 2 joint apartment leases, my health insurance with my husbands name as the sponsor, my husbands life insurance with me as a beneficiary, my husbands military DEERS information with me as spouse, a power of attorney from my husband to me for when he deploys next month and pictures of us with our friends and both families. 

She clearly stated to us when asking for anything we want to submit that she couldn't tell us what they are looking for. Which sucked and meant we just had to guess at what to give them. 

Hopefully it will be enough :/ 

Oh that sucks. It does sound like you have a lot of compelling evidence. Anyway, you're not far off from getting your GC!

They just went through the yes/no questions on the i-485 and asked for our marriage date. They told us they don't approve at the interview in Raleigh and that we should find out via tracker by the end of the week. Now to wait some more good luck to everyone who is still waiting on that interview, S. 

Glad your interview went well! What did you end up bringing for evidence?

I got my EAD/AP card on Saturday. Says I was approved on June 12,13.

I got one of those too. Dated for May 17, 2018

I received the same e-mail as you with the same date. We are not as far as you (I think). They gave us an update on Apr 20 saying we canceled your interview with not dates scheduled yet.

Did you book your infopass appointment via the website?/how were you able to book an appointment to get more info? I had called them but I think the officer just did what I normally do which is check every possible site for any updates. But congrats on your EAD! I just hope I get it before mid summer for anything at this point.

sent it in on Jan 22, received noa1 on Feb 2. RFE around mid march. and got that interview canceled message on apr 20

I see you're at the Raleigh field office as well!! I also got the interview is canceled and never scheduled interview!
