You had me at 'maybe'
-
Was that 1 person getting -1 much?
No. From what I understand, he just disagreed with the -1 in prinicpal, know that some VJers are sadly very high schoolish in their behavior on the forum.

hmm. maybe I should go see you in Toronto...you know it is only a stone's throw from my house.

I find it really interesting that when ONE person asked that the -1 option be removed, Ewok just bent over and did it, but when a group of people request that it be returned, Ewok can't even be bothered to stop in and address the issue at all.
I think amongst all the silliness in this thread, some excellent points have been made as to why the -1 option should be reinstated. I, for one, would appreciate that this idea be considered and addressed in the open forum.

We didn't do affidavits either. I know many who've been approved without them, so hopefully we will be, too.
@JustMeNow - Your evidence looks good. I feel good that your ROC will be approved. We're all here to support each other during this, so please lean on us.
How does the number start for VSC filers coz I can read the numbers on the check but I can't figure out what the letters are before those numbers.
It is EAC, but I guess you have to wait for the # on the biometrics appointment to do online tracking. Weird, but thats USCIS for you.

I'm back to say hi to my peeps.

Ah, very cool. I haven't read extensively in this forum, like I did for the other steps along the way. Thanks for clearing that up for me, V33K.

We received the NOA1 yesterday. Its dated May 6. The weird thing is that on USCIS, when trying to add the case for status updates, they keep saying our EAC # isn't valid. The # on the notice is the same as on the check, so I am quite baffled as to why the # is invalid. Any ideas, anyone?

Wow! Congrats Empress! Your very own Joyce fetus!!!! I relate to the sickness you describe. I have 3 kids and was sick pretty much the whole pregnancy for each. The good news is that I was rewarded with easy, natural child births.
I hope you will get some relief from the sickness soon. You'll have to share with us your choice of nursery colors - harvest gold, avocado green or??? I can't wait to hear all about it!! I'll see if the maven can knit you some baby booties in 70s colors! And that fondue pot of your will come in handy for heating the bottle, but do lay off the G&Ts!!

Pal and I picked up the last part of our Walt Disney World package yesterday, got our Magical express tickets (awesome not to have to go find our sutcases lol), we're off on our belated Honyemoon on the 23rd
Have fun!!!
Lisa - glad everything is going well with your pregancy. Good luck with the nuptials!

It has been 2 days since they cashed my check and no NOA1 should i worry.... LOL
Maybe you should call your senator?

Don't feel bad, kaffy. We were supposed to file my husband's in March (beginning of 90 day window) but ended up filing at the beginning of this month. You'll get there.
Our check was cashed 5/7/10. Just waiting on the NOA1 now. And preparing for the long haul through VSC.

The accent thing I can relate to. I now know there is a difference between the name Barry and the word berry, and even pronounce them differently now.
I'll have to check with the hubster about the word 'combo'. Should be interesting.

OK, Gemmie, here's another from me. When my husband sorts the laundry, he always mixes up the clothes. So, I'll be missing things, or the kids will be missing things and I finally find them in the wrong basket of laundry. It drives me batty. And, yes, this is something that he knows drives me crazy.
He also drives way too close to the curb! It freaks me out! And he knows it!
Other than that, he's practically perfect.

May I brag about my duvet, Ms Julez? I picked it up at John Lewis before we left London. It's 2.5 tog, perfect for SoCal, and is filled with Siberian goose down. It is teh duvet of my dreamz.
You are the exception to the rule, my dear. You know I love you, braggart and all!

Nice one, Maven!
P.S. I hate drive-by posting.

We sent off my husband's I-751 on May 3rd to VSC. Finally! His card expires 5/28. Just waiting for the check to be cashed now.

I really didn't want to add fuel to the fire, but please hold aside what your fiance did regarding the car purchase for a second and consider that you're complaining about her in a public forum to strangers. I see a relationship - especially a marriage relationship - as a kind of sanctuary. In the sanctuary there is respect and love and safety. We all do stupid things, but our stable relationship is where we can be ourselves without fear of betrayal and condemnation. Broadcasting to the world your complaints with your spouse - and especially character judgments like the above - I feel is very wrong to her. Before you post anything else, please consider what it feels like to be in her shoes. Consider that you are the one person who will be sworn to love, protect, and cherish her, and that airing what you consider to be character flaws is an act of betrayal. If my fiance did this to me, I would be crushed beyond belief. But he never would, and he trusts me not to either.
Beautifully stated, Rito.

I hope it's ok with the self-appointed forum police to address turn indicators, since it was already brought up: is it just my SO, or do all Americans not realize their vehicle comes standard equipped with turn indicators?
I'm sure Vanessa won't mind.

Hubster's biometrics appointment letter just arrived in the mail!!! June 7 @ 2:00! Much sooner that I anticipated it would be, so we're pretty chuffed right now.
