Congrats to all those that have gotten approved. Our status is still saying as of Feb 1, 2017 we received your case from the Ghana Embassy and it's being reviewed and will be contacted by mail when we are finished. Still no word. We started the visa process Sept 14th 2015 and he was denied on a 121g in Aug 2016 and no word since then. I've called and called but get nothing. We will never give up but some days it's so hard to remain strong.

TrustG, thank you I will do that!
-
TrustG how long did you wait to see an update on the USCIS sight? I check it every day sometimes several times a day and the last change was on Feb 1 2017 when they received our case back from the Embassy.
-
Has anyone gone for more then 2 interviews?
-
SO happy for you!!!! It's such a hard, long journey but we will all get there eventually!!!
-
Reading that many are getting approved the second time around keeps me hopeful..Thank you all for your posts.

I just pray hard every day we hear something soon
-
NO he's only had one interview on Aug 2016. It was sent back due to a 221g and we haven't heard anything yet. We just know it's at USCIS and they haven't contacted us yet.
-
They should have but didn't just that based on a 221g they couldn't issue his visa at this time. A 221g means they need more information or not enough information...the visa center and USCIS said it's ridiculous but nothing we can do until they get our case back. Now they have it (Since Feb 1) and we haven't heard anything. When I call USCIS they tell me I have to wait the 180 days for them to review our case. So I can't even call until August.

My husband's case was returned to USCIS for a 221g on Feb 1, 2017. Has anyone gone for a 2nd interview and was denied again? We are still waiting to hear why it was sent back and it's been 10 months since his last interview.
-
How long did it take to hear from USCIS?
-
Yes, I agree!
-
Then I guess they are choosing not to help
-
I called my senator's office and they said the only way they can get involved is if we get denied all together. But since the USCIS is still reviewing it, we have to wait.
-
This Sept will be 2 yrs since we filed...It can take months or yrs. And many times especially in Ghana they make you wait, so they know if you are really willing to wait, or give up. Sadly, Ghana is considered a high scam country, so it's much harder to get a visa from there. We knew this going into this, and we are willing to wait however long it takes.

My husband had to provide a police report, but I didn't have to go through any security checks

When my husband got his white paper saying our case was being sent back to USCIS, it also said our I129 visa case would expire, when in fact our case is an I130 and it doesn't expire, but at first we were in a panic. AN I129 is a fiancee visa and it expires after 4 months, but an I130 is a marriage visa and it doesn't expire, so that gave us hope.
-
USCIS received our case back on Feb 1 2017 and we haven't been contacted yet...My husbands interview was Aug 17th 2016
-
We haven't been reaffirmed yet..Still waiting on USCIS to contact us...Good luck with yours!!
-
I am so happy for you!! I pray my husband will get his soon
-
What we were confused about was, when they gave him his white paper that said due to a 221g your I129 fiancee visa wasn't approved and it would expire before it got back to USCIS....We filed an I130 NOT I129, we are married. SO it seems the embassy messed up with that. And yes I told my husband he should have said more not just that we love each other. He said he also said he love the same music, and have a strong love for God, and love for doing humanitarian service. But in any case whatever he said obviously wasn't good enough.

I was hoping my next trip out there would be to fly over and fly back with him. I want to be with him when he steps foot onto US soil.
-
They didn't ask him a lot of questions, it was as though they had decided before he even got there. They said you are 14 years apart in age what can you have in common? He said "Love" we love each other. They asked him my parents names and he knew the names...He says they didn't even ask to see the documentation they told him to bring. He was there 5 min, when he was given a white paper stating they couldn't issue him a visa and his case would be sent back to USCIS for review. No we were married on my second trip to Ghana, and I went back for a 3 week visit this past Oct. I will of coarse go again late Summer if we don't hear something soon.

I hope it's soon...The waiting is so hard.
