  1. We were over prepared the first time, and the guy wouldn't even look at all our pictures and phone records. We have tons of evidence, maybe they will look at it this time.

  2. That's great news!!!

  3. I'm going to try to be there for my husbands next interview. I don't know if it will help or not but I feel I need to be there.

I was told that the spouse is not allowed to come inside of the Ghana Embassy unless you were requested to come along.

  4. I took your advice and I called my senators office and they just returned my call. They said they can't do anything until after I hear back from USCIS which can take 9 months because returned cases are not a priority. She did say that after I hear from them and we don't receive good news, to call her back and she will call the USCIS office on our behalf. She also said she feeling it was the 14 yrs age difference that sent up red flags to the embassy. But she did give me some hope in that when issued a 221g on a white form, it typically means they need more documentation, and we will eventually be approved. So we wait!

Well that is not great news, but it is better than it could be. Good luck to you.

  5. I know what you are going through. My husband had his Interview last Aug and was given a white paper with 221g and it was sent back to USCIS. USCIS got it Feb 1, this year and we haven't heard anything yet. We started this process Sept 2015. I did chat with a lawyer on one of these sites and he said typically when given a 221g it is approved the second time so I'm hoping so.

Thanks for your response.  This is encouraging to hear. My husband and I have been apart for over two years. I know this is a difficult process but I have strong faith and believe in my God thato he will not let us down. I am so blessed for assistance and support received from the website.  Sending prayers to each of you on this journey.

  6. Hi my name is Ladean and I am in the long process of my husband's I130 visa. He is in Ghana and I am in the US. He was denied his first interview, and it's been sent back to USCIS as of Feb 1, 2017 we haven't heard anything yet as to what to do next. He wasn't given any reason other then he wasn't deemed eligible to receive his visa and it was sent back to USCIS. USCIS has had our case since Feb 1, 2017 but we haven't heard anything as to what our next step is.

My husband and I were married October 23, 2014.  We started filing the petition in January 2015.  My husband had two interviews, November 2015 & December 2015 for our I-130 petition.  The embassy wanted him to provide more information in December 2015, and I guess it wasn't good enough for them, for whatever insane reason.  The petition was put on AP as of April 2016 and was sent back to NVC-USCIS, etc. as of June 2016,  We received the NOIR from USCIS in November 2016, sent the response in December 2016.  They REAFFIRMED our petition on March 27, 2017.  I received the letter in the mail from USCIS on April 1, 2017.  When I emailed the Embassy in May 2017, they claimed they did not have it yet.  Our reaffirmed petition was received by the Embassy this month, June 2017.    We are waiting to hear from the Embassy for his next interview.  I pray this explanation helps.
