well, I just got through. Still not showing up in their system. ~sigh~
I'd really like to spend Christmas in the US with my snugglebunny.
That's all I'm thinking about too.....
But Rio is already setting interview dates for November, so I'm not sure that will be possible.
Christmas home together would be great, eh? So nice! We can only all hope! Out of curiousity, how did you go about finding out the interview schedule for Rio?
Some girls here are also from Brazil and their cases already reached the Consulate. One of them has an interview scheduled for November, so I just assumed all dates before that are already taken.
I just called NVC today again and guess what..... they don't have my case yet
Oh well, keep waiting I guess.
I just hope we can all spend Christmas with our fiances... that'd be so good!! I'll keep praying for that to happen!
Hopefully our prayers will be answered soon. My lawyer advised it takes an average of 2 months after the NOA2 until the interview, so I am PRAYING for that but also being realistic bc unfortunately for all of us, we ALL got approved around the same time. Our situation is not bad becuase we are actually together right now working on cruise ships, however; we are on vacation soon.
So basically, if CSC doesn't get on it and start sending away, I am scared we may be apart for X-mas. The best thing to do while waiting is pray that it all works out for the best. Good luck to us all!!!!

YAY!!! Congrats, and all the best for a speedy road to your interview!

Ours was approved on the 15th and touched on the 17th .... so we are in the same situation. Don't worry .... keep positive.

Welcome to you! Best of luck to you both ... let's pray it goes speedy for you!

If anybody has to ask about what the poverty line is then I would imagine they shouldn't be trying to bring someone from another country and think they can support them as well. Good luck
You are just plain rude. As mentioned, I was looking for a graph, and I found it thank you to the nice people here. Why reply at all if you are going to be so negative?

Thank you so much ... I knew it was that simple! Thanks!

I have been given too many answers of the minimum income that you have to make .... any advice on where to find the true numbers of the current poverty level??? (Sorry if this is a stupid question and the answer is just under my nose, but I have seen WAY TOO many answers for this)!

Has anyone else ran into the problem of where and when to have a wedding? I am from the States, and my fiance is from Trinidad. We work on cruise ships on 6 month contracts which complicates things a lot. What we have been discussing most recently is a date on when to have a wedding with family and friends, which we really want. We started our K-1 in April ... April 28th is when it is date stamped, so we are hoping to be approved by March (when our vacation is)! However, if we are not, we are still planning a "ceremony" of vow exchanges in March in Trinidad. Of course we have to legally get married in the States per the visa, but we are technically calling it a wedding, and then after we are approved, we will do it legal in the States. I feel as though this is a bit off for some reason! Is anyone else in a similar situation where you want to do a ceremony over seas first?
Has anyone Stayed with their Love one until the interview??

Fortunately for Johann and I, we met while working on cruise ships, so we are still together at work. However, if it were not for that, I don't think we would be able to be together. It would be so hard financially. God bless those that are, and are able to somehow still bring in the income and save for a future. We were apart from Feb. to Aug., only seeing each other for one week in June, and that was HARD! But you know, now that we are able to be together (and hopefully never again apart for that long, knock on wood), we both agree that it is so worth the wait and patience. In all of our cases, the statement "Best things come to those who wait," sincerely holds true. Nothing can beat being with the one you love! However it works out, it will all make sense later. It may not make sense to any of us right now, but it will one day and hopefully soon! God bless.
