So for example, in form DS-260 under "Family Information: Spouse" it asks, "Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. with you?"
She WILL be moving there with me, but since she is a US citizen I should answer "no" correct?
Likewise to the next question, "Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. at a later date to join you"?
Also when I am listing the names of my children I click "no" to the following questions?
Is this child immigrating to the U.S. with you?
Yes No Is this child immigrating to the U.S. at a later date to join you?Yes No -
Thanks. That makes sense.

I am working on completing form Form DS-260 as well as getting my sponsors to complete form I-864.
My wife is a US citizen and my 5 children all have dual citizenship. When I encounter questions about who else is immigrating with me or questions about the intending immigrant's spouse or children how do I answer these. While they are dependents it doesn't seem right to me to classify them as immigrants since they could all move to the US immediately without having to go through this whole process.
I hope this makes sense.

My father-in-law is acting as a co-sponsor for me. My wife is the petitioner but she has no income to declare so we are having to rely on my in-laws to meet the sponsorship eligibility. My in-laws have always filed a joint income tax return. In this situation would my mother-in-law still need to complete form 1-864a?
Thanks for any help,
Kevin

The I-864 form is generating a number of questions we would like to get input from. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Here is the scenario:
- My wife (US citizen) is petitioning for my immigration to the US from Canada.
- We have 5 children who have dual citizenship.
- My wife is not employed, though she does get child tax support in addition to my wage.
- My wife's father intends to be a joint sponsor and is also completing an affidavit of support on my behalf.
Our questions:
- In Part 6, Question 7 should my wife include her child tax money as her "current annual income" since this income will not continue once we move to the US?
- In Part 6, Question 20 should my wife include her child tax money plus my income as "my current annual household income"?
- Our children have dual citizenship. This being the case does this impact the way we complete any of the form (for instance household size)?

Our application is finally out of Nebraska and has now been transferred to NVC. Some movement at least.

That's good news.

KierenHby, they are born in Canada but we are applying for their US papers.

If there is a discussion where our scenario is already discussed, please point us to it.
I married my American wife in 2010. We have been living in Canada ever since where she lives on a permanent residence VISA. We are looking to move to the US as a family (we have 4 children). What guides do we need to follow to apply for me to immigrate to the US?
Crossing the border with Uhaul trailer

We are planning to cross the US border with some of our belongings in a couple weeks. We will be towing a small Uhaul trailer behind our minivan. I already have my visa and US SSN. Is there any forms we should have filled out in order to expedite the border crossing? I have heard of people creating an itemized list of contents. Is there anything else we need? We will not be importing our vehicle. Any help is appreciated.
