it looks like it is about the same time. The letter is not uploaded yet. The lady did say it will likely be next week.

Sorry this may not be what you want to hear but yes my status changed yesterday saying it was approved and I was in line for oath. This morning I got a text saying my ceremony letter was mailed. If you want to get an infopass appointment in a hurry and not wait for the two week thing here is a link with some tips on getting an appointment.  I have used it to get appointments fairly quickly. Hello Sorry to hear about that... I would definitely get an infopass. When I had to reschedule my interview that helped so much as once the file is in the Orlando office, they know exactly what is going on it appears. In fact the day I got an info pass someone before me had some delay and the infopass officer went behind and brought the case officer out. Did you get a notice saying you are in line for oath ceremony? I didn't get a same day letter today. 

Just to close the loop on this... I had my second rescheduled interview today WITH my wife and two kids and both my I-751 and N-400 was approved on the spot. It was extremely painless. The officer was really nice and she apologized to my wife that she had to come so early with two kids but she needed her there for the I-751 approval. Anyways she didn't want to see a thing. Just asked the civics test, the reading and written stuff and then asked a few of those yes or no questions and we were done! So now wait foe the oath ceremony

So I just wanted to document what happened after this to help anyone else in the same predicament. I got an info pass and went and saw an officer the week after my original interview date. I asked her what happened and mildly protested that I was never asked to bring along my wife. She explained that both petitions have to be adjudicated simultaneously as N-400 cannot be approved with I-751 pending while there is nothing stopping me from filing N-400 while I-751 is pending. She was very kind and said I can see that a reschedule has not been requested, let me request it for you. If you have not gotten a date by mid Jan come in and see us. In hindsight this appears is key. An interview reschedule has to be requested. by the time i came out of the office I got a text message saying your interview (original one) was canceled. and then thank God yesterday I got an text saying I have been scheduled and this morning the letter was uploaded - its on Feb 4th. So hopefully smooth sailing from now on. So from what the lady told me rescheduling request is the key as it gets you back in the line. You do not get into the line till such a request is made. So if for any reason your interview has to be rescheduled make sure you get an info pass to take care of it and make sure you get a notification that your original interview was canceled.

I was to have my citizenship interview on Wednesday. My interview notice said nothing about bringing my wife along. I also have a I-751 pending. I was going to take my wife along anyways but then I have a less than two month old baby who had some health issues and was admitted for a few days and we didn't want to risk the travel back and forth. So I went alone which it appears was a big mistake. I checked in and sat down in the waiting area. The officer came out and called me. The first thing she asked me was where is your wife. I told her she was at home. She then said I need her to be here because you have an I-751 pending. She then said I am going to have to reschedule you. She then took my letter and was very kind even though she was giving me bad news. I said do you know how long it will take? She said I don't know, I don't do the rescheduling. She then asked me to make sure that I bring my wife along and also originals of all things I submitted. Anyways I was in some what of a shock and left. Does anyone know how long it takes to reschedule interviews in Orlando? I hear anything from it can be months to a few weeks depending on the field office.

Haa!!! Almost on cue after I posted this, this morning I got a text message this afternoon that I have been scheduled for an interview though the new website shows no change yet.

For Orlando filers I have some info. First, my cast status on the old website mysteriously disappeared a few months ago saying there is no status available or something like that. Then about a month or so ago it again mysteriously reappeared. Today I called USCIS call center just for the heck of it to figure out what was going on. The lady was very helpful actually and said that the reason case status disappears is due to being in limbo as nothing has happened I gather. On Sep 22nd I was told I was placed in line for an interview which coincides with the time that my case status magically reappeared. However, despite what the lady told me the case status on the old and new websites says nothing that indicates that I am in line for an interview. But since I was given a definite date when it happened I am led to believe this is actually the case. From what I gather (based on anecdotal evidence) after this point its totally a case of when you filed your paper work. Which brings me to my second point. I have been following the Mar 2018 thread and two Orlando folks have gotten interviews scheduled, the last one being one who filed on 23rd of Mar. So... the end maybe in sight friends. Call up and check if you are in line for interview...

Thanks for the reply. I submitted April 1st 2018 and finger print the following week. The online completion date for me also is 05/2019. I saw some one who had a Jan submission date had their interview last week. So God-willing ours is coming soon. All the best!

Hey where in India were you born? If it is TN I think its like 20rs to get it. I just looked into it today. They need your original file number I believe and matriculation certificate....

I am sorry to hear this. Keep me posted as to how this goes. I know of several person who only used an affidavit and had no issues. Maybe this is a specific officer who is not aware of things....

This is crazy. I don't have my name on my birth certificate either. But when my GC was approved (in 2015) I submitted two affidavits from my mother and father as well as my PAN card and they raised no question. I will have my interview at Orlando too. Hope this does not become an issue. Did the officer say why the affidavit was not sufficient. When I was filing my GC it appeared every Indian was using the affidavit. Now it appears its not sufficient?

Had an infopass appointment yesterday at Orlando to get my passport stamped as my ROC is still under process. Turns out the entire USCIS computer system was down on the east coast. So was scheduled for another appointment on wednesday. However, the entire staff were super nice and kind... we sometimes forget they are people just like us operating within the confines of a badly organized system .... comforting... there was also an oath ceremony going on.... someday soon!!! Among other news now my esitmated case completion time and estimated wait times are in sync at 13 months, which is strange as I expect my next step would be an interview and then wait and then oath so shouldn't the wait time be sooner for the next step which is the interview?
