Idk how to reply to a post... but Yhwinnie, I don't think it hurts to call if that'll calm your nerves. I know I've called sometimes very often and other times, I'm just too mentally exhausted/depressed to do so. I know some people say that it negatively impact your case when you call too often, I'm not sure. Finally got my approval letter in the mail today. PD 11/25/16. God is good! Praise Him! You'll get your approval when you least expect it.

Congratulatlons.  Me too.  Same PD date

Awww! Thank you for your thoughts and continue to have me in your prayers. It's been a long and depressing journey. Fingers crossed PD October 26...

I think I may be in the same boat with u.  Because of the security clearance they claim hasn't come back yet. Yes. I'm praying for u more than myself because u been waiting longer.   That's why sometimes when I see others "gripe". I be like oh Lord.  If only they knew.  There is also someone here with a sept PD. Yes!!!   So let the people who been waiting longer get thru first !!

Thank you. If u haven't tried enquiry/senator do try, it will definitely help. My PD is oct 4 and got approved in third week of june after contacting senator's office multiple times. Hang in there. It will be anytime soon.

That doesn't help if u are waiting for security clearance.  But atleast they will get a clear answer.  I heard back from my congress woman. And USCIS told her they are waiting for security clearance. (Background check) to come back.  This can not be expidited   30-60 days wait.  So I'm chilling 😀

How do u know ur in security clearance? When I search for my file on the app its says case was received

I made an inquiry. They told me.  Then I had the congress make an inquiry.  Got the same thing. New in process since new POTUS. deeper security checks.  And they are done on petitioner and beneficiary. And they made it clear that they CAN NOT BE EXPIDITED

  6. People!!!!!  There are extensive background security clearance that all applicants have to go through. It can take 30-120 days.  So all you guys talking as if there is some method ..  there is no method.  Just unlucky for us we get caught up in that.  My case is pending security clearance and no ETA..  so just be patient cause we have no control..   also. Our POTUS the one "we" elected has put this in place to make our country "safer".

I called USCIS yesterday and asked to be transferred to tier 2.

They called me back about 2.5 hours later.

The officer was very nice. Told me that my file has being assigned to an officer since 01-June and that it has been pending since then (Total BS).

He put in an inquiry for me to find out what's the hold and told me I'll get an answer in 15 days (22-Aug).

I think he was just blowing smoke, but we'll see

Security checks.  Some take longer than some

  8. The Interagency Border Inspection System (IBIS) Name Check"” IBIS is a multi-agency effort with a central system that combines information from multiple agencies, databases and system interfaces to compile data relating to national security risks, public safety issues and other law enforcement concerns. USCIS can quickly check information from these multiple government agencies to determine if the information in the system affects the adjudication of the case. Results of an IBIS check are usually available immediately. In some cases, information found during an IBIS check will require further investigation. The IBIS check is not deemed completed until all eligibility issues arising from the initial system response are resolved

I'm sorry :( it would make sense they process cases in order but that's not how it works. Some are expedited, others get delayed for different reasons, some take longer, who really knows what's their system. Try not to fixate too much on it. File an inquiry if you can, and I hope you get your approval soon!

Those are nice words.  The key to all this is to stay positive..  but those were very nice words

Its easy to say but hard to implement it. I just want to be reunited with my husband soon and it has been 9 months waiting while others has move forward from to NVC or even interview or even already in US with their spouse and family. And me? Still waiting :(

You are so right about that.   But there is nothing we can do.  If there is. I'm sure we would. ..  it will happen eventually. Keep faith.  And good luck !!  Praying for u
