Finally husband pick up visa today, he will be flying next week POE Miami

Mine just changed to Ready yesterday! 

We were the same way. We had like 30 pages of documents they didnt even look at.

My husband's case was completed September 6th at NVC, I called today to check if there had been an appointment generated for our case a very helpful lady said that we did not have an appointment yet but to try and call back next week because the Ciudad Juarez Embassy has not closed on October appointments as of today.
 
Im new to the page and forum but I am very glad to have found it.
 
We might not get an October appointment but for those of you waiting longer than us you might be still able to get one next month Good Luck we are all so close.

I've got my visa approved today!!!
 
They let me in 40 min before the scheduled time for the interview. I got my number and waited less than 10 min to be called to the first window (certificates, affidavits of support and all that stuff). That first part was about 5 min or so.
 
After another 10 min, I got called to the interview window. The interviewer was really nice and asked the following questions:
 
- Who's the petitioner?
- Where did you meet each other?
- Where's your spouse living now?
- Are you planning to stay there?
 
And that's it!!!  I finished the whole thing when I was supposed to have the interview .

Mine changed a few weeks after they gave me the interview date to "In Transit" and said our case was being sent to the consulate. 

Still working to update my timeline, but just for the record, my PD is 3/2010. Its hard to imagine, but 7.5 + years have already elapsed with me waiting for the PD to become current, separated from a relative. Given, i had been busy with other things, but it really has been a long, long time. A lot has happened in that time. One thing i learned is that i cannot make the wheels of immigration run any faster.  And i resigned to fate; If it is meant to be it will be.

Yes, go to www.ceac.gov and click on the link that says fee payment. Log in with your invoice number and case number. Then, at the top on the right you'll see IV Application. Click on that. Then a line will come up and you can click view. Then click on the link up top that says sign. That's where you can see the completed DS-260 and in the middle of the page there it'll say Print Confirmation. 

Quick update: finally in New York! POE at JFK was very smooth (hand over envelope, fingerprint and on my way). I actually forgot to hand over the X-ray disc and still have that with me. Thanks to all those that helped along the way, and good luck to everyone waiting - the end is in sight, it'll end soon!

Thank you @cleon86!  We also bought the earliest available ticket.  Waiting another 2-3 weeks for prices to drop was not an option.

Well, the hope all along as been that he'll be here by my birthday (October 24th) So, the interview is the 19th and if we cross our fingers, eyes, and toes we're hoping he gets the visa by Monday the 23rd and we can buy the ticket that day for the 24th. That would be the best birthday present ever lol. I have faith it will happen like that (but I won't buy the ticket until we're sure haha).

I know  We scheduled the location for the pickup and from what I've seen it takes about 3-4 days to receive it after the interview for El Salvador. We won't purchase anything until he has it in his hand. 

The visa journey finally comes to an end...4 hours to go...my wife is arriving in NYC today.  
Took exactly ONE year from sending in the petition and to my wife's arrival in the States.
