I know it's very frustrating but your day is close I cried when i receive my notification on email it's easy to say and hard to listen but  just be patient 🙂 God bless you 

Beeen waiting. LOTS of people are desperate and stressed. I am happy for you though because it gives me hope. But then I get sad again.

another one approved PD october 17 case was in Nebraska all the time got approve on May 5 and receive an Email today....... God is great 🙏🏼☝🏼

Well my friends, this has been the happiest I have felt in about 7 months!
 
We got approved!
 
I actually called this morning as I do each week to inquire if anything has changed. I got a call back from Tier 2 three hours after I called and spoke with a Tier 1 who told me we were not approved.
 
So when Tier 2 called, the guy asked me a lot of security questions. They usually only ask my name, case # amd form type, so I was thinking maybe they were going to say we got an RFE or we are in security checks.
 
Instead, the guy said, "are you aware of how this works?" And Im like....yeah. Im calling for any info you can give me apart from what your website says. And then he told me we were approved on May 4th! 
 
You can only imagine my excitement. I cried, hahahaaa!!! He really made my day.
 
So when I got home, sure enough, there was tje letter in the mail box.
 
The reason I am sharing all this is that Tier 1 shows we are still not approved, but Tier 2 knows we are! And we didnt get any updates from the website or apps.
 
So calling could actually let you know sooner than the mail if you dont get electronic updates.
 
Our pd was October 13th. This has been a looooong and trecherous road. As much as I was really getting tired of hearing others say this, DONT LOSE HOPE!!!

I hope so. I know a lot of people are getting anxious, desperate and stressed, myself included. VJ estimated time for my i130 yo be adjudicated is may 18 to may 30, let's hope it's right. It's stressing me out. Goodluck to everyone!

I've been reading this forum for about 4 months now and I finally got to create and account and share my thoughts with you! 🙂
My pd is 10/25 at Nebraska and "case was received" is the status on my case still.
after doing some research, it seems like there were 20 (I-130) cases received by Nebraska on 10/25 and so far only one case out of twenty has been approved on May 3rd.
I am hoping that all of us October filers will get approved soon. Congrats to all of those who have received their approvals already.

Not always. May be most of the times. Mine was supposed to be approved sometime in April, PD oct 4. Don't lose hope for those who didn't got approved within stipulated timeline and good luck to those who are reaching/within estimated vj time frame!!

my timeline was spot on.. approved 4 days after my timeline said it "could be approved".. said like april 20-may 2.. or something like that and I was approved on April 24th.. so it was perfect

It does work always check your mailbox.
 

that means the timeline doesnt really help we just need to be patient ☹️ and wait until our time comes 

thanks i just made  my timeline and it says between 4 and 15 of may   not sure if it really works 😊 but at least gives me hopes 

Just got a text from USCIS and WE ARE APPROVED and SENT TO NVC!!!!! Im shaking right now i'm so happy!!!

I doubt the myth that calling causes delays, I don't think that USCIS is vindictive like that. I've read too many stories of people getting approved after talking with a Tier 2, so I'm buying that myth . In the end, whether you have delays or not seems to be a combination of factors, but also a great deal of random chance.
To call dial 1 (800) 375-5283 then press 1 for English, then 2, then press 1 again. Then enter your receipt # and then press 1 to confirm. Press 3 to talk with a representative. The operator will ask you a few questions to confirm your case, and then they ask what they can do for you. Just say, "I have questions for a Tier 2." They'll transfer you and you'll set up a call back. After a few hours, a Tier 2 will call you back. If it is someone helpful, they tell you if there has been a background check, or if your case is with an officer. If you get someone unhelpful, they'll tell you the "current" processing time and not much else. Just keep calling back, you'll eventually get someone helpful.

Mine is October 20 I just got approved.
It took 187 days.

Mine is Oct. 24Th as well... Crossing my fingers for an approval soon so anxious!
