I received this bit of information from my senators office yesterday:
"Please note that the 11 week review period listed in the e-mail is now down to 8 weeks. This would mean that your case should be completed by the first week of June 2017. Our liaison at the NVC said that their staff is working overtime to try and get this processing time reduced."
Perhaps we will hear/see the 11 weeks drop down to 8 soon?!
if it is official, this is a great news! yesterday the NVC still told me 11 weeks, but if we can find any information on the Website will be a great news for everybody, for me meaning only 2 week to the "sunrise"!!!

Lol Everything I know I learned from others in this forum so thank god for this forum. I have to agree with the others that being on this forum makes this long process so much better. When we first started, we also thought it'd take 6-9 months max...only to find it was 6 months for USCIS alone...then 3-6 more for NVC
Hope you get your process complete before your flight!! Let us know how that goes.
thank you, my process is already 3 years (and i am talking about the last leg) but every story is different....mine was really problematic, but we are at the last chapter. I thought that Italy was a mess....well, this immigration system could be so much worse. With NVC I was kind of lucky because i was able to do the NVC paper right away, but i have to wait for the last USCIS approval (5 months....), which was sent on Feb 27....i thought that by now i was done with Interview and everything else....but still need to be a little bit patient...
Thank you again...people like you are a gem!

Thanks for that but my three numbers are 574...if I minus 500 it give me 74. Threes no such number in the calendar
according to that, should be 13 of Feb.
574-500=74 -31=13
but mine is 654, meaning 154 and can not be real, becuase it is in June. I am guessing that is when we begin the case...

i don`t know if it was posted....
How to read a NVC case Number ( according to this, my first scan is March 5, damn...)
"A NVC case number contains 13 characters consisting of letters and numbers, according to ***removed***. The first three letters identify the overseas embassy or consulate that accepted the original visa application. The next four numbers refer to the year the National Visa Center acquired the application. The following three numbers refer to the day the NVC received the application. It is the day of the year minus 500. For example, the number 510 means the visa application was accepted on the 10th day of the year or January 10. The final three numbers indicate the order of the application for that day. Therefore, the seventh petition filed on a particular day receives the number 007. Accordingly, the NVC case number NWD2003510007 is the seventh case created by the New Delhi consulate on January 10, 2003."

Sent off on March 23
Scan date: March 30
I didn't realize the wait would be this long until I signed up to this site. I had been really excited when I received the 30 days letter after completing the DS260. This new information broke my heart. We are at the last leg of the journey. Here goes another, and hopefully final countdown. Good luck to everyone waiting. May the time race by quite easily for us all.
I had the same feeling....i thought it was 30 days.....and boom....11 weeks, i got depressed and i drink until the was no tomorrow (at home), but at least, reading all this post make me feel that we are all in the same boat.

Hello All,
I need your advice if i should wait 11 weeks or contact my congressman, because i received 3rd check list and resend I-864A back to NVC. I did talk with the supervisor and she told me that i can't make any decision to why one was case completed on feb 15 and were told to submit I-864A during in interview and for 2nd case to resubmit I-864A back to NVC she advised me to send the documents back to NVC which i did and my scan date is Feb 27. Please let me know if i should wait or contact my congressman because this is now over 8 months and still pending with NVC and my original date was August 24 2016...
i would contact Congressmen and Senator....
