I don't know if we will get any. He said he can't wear one anyways (knuckles bigger than rest of finger), and at work he couldn't either!
So either I will "recycle" my beloved engagement ring for wedding ( I don't mind at all because I love it), or we'll get wedding bands and he wears it around the neck or so. Don't know.
I know more couples who didn't do a ring exchange... it seems to become "trendy". But I rather have something to exchange. I think something would be missing.

We were in a park in DC - nothing. We were alone at the ocean... I even drew S+S in a heart in the sand... nothing lol 

And afterwards he said he wanted to ask the night before on the couch, but I had my sentimental day and was whiny as hell, so I screwed it lol 

Funny thing is my ring looks like it cost more. Its an amethyst ring which is not my birthstone but is my favourite colour purple.  Oh here why not just show a picture of it.

When i told him "I hope you didn't pay much for this" when he said it's a platinum ring, and it has one diamond, he answered me, "It's a reasonable price." That's the time I don't even want to know how much it costs.

Hahahahhaa! I laughed when you said he dumped her😄 I never asked how much my ring costs.. Because I'll feel so much guilt if I'll learn it's expensive.. He doesn't want to tell me either because he know me.. What's important is that they made an effort to choose what will look good for us and what they think we will love 😊

as long as the love is there, as long as you'll both stick to each other for better or for worse, it doesn't really matter how much the ring costs at all 😊 as long as the sincerity is there, too.. That's why there's a saying, "It's a thought that counts" 😊😊

I know thats insane if my fiance did that it would be like a nearly 10k ring. I DONT THINK SO. I am scared enough something is going to happen to this one. lol My stepsister Ali used to be a materialistic girl and when her and her bf at the time were talking about engagement she told him she would not settle for anything less than a 10k ring. He dumped her. LOL Which was good he was too nice for her anyway.

I wouldn't hold much to the timeline thing considering lots of people don't even fill that out which drives me bonkers and so many forget to put their dates in etc. So it is not really accurate as far as I can tell. Yeah it just gives you an idea perhaps. I think we will see some movement this week in the right direction.  

Yeah, I'm glad he didn't do what is typical in the States and buy such a monstrous hyper expensive ring for me (3 monthly wages for an engagement ring is the unwritten rule there I heard about). Glad I could go help choosing. This one already was too expensive.
He didn't have my ring size either. He knew my european one, but since it's so different, he got lost and was helpless hahaha

My fiance asked me when we were at our first meeting in person a day after I got there. We were on the couch in the hotel room cuddling and chatting and he said Becca will you marry me? I looked at him stunned and he stuttered and said I don't have a ring yet I don't know your size and I should have a ring and....I said YES YES YES! I knew the moment we met in person that I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life. However we waited to be officially engaged which was a good thing. He already had tickets to come see me the end of February 2017 and my Mum told me thats too soon that makes things seem too sudden. I looked at her and said oh ok then I will fly down and be with him before then. 3 weeks later I flew down to Colorado and the first night I was there we went ring shopping. My ring is simple and only cost $300 and even at that I think its extravagant. lol I am a plain girl. The next day we went walking at Garden of the Gods and in a little rock alcove he looked at me and brought out the ring and said Will you really Marry me now! I giggled and said YES YES YES! I told my Mum after I got back and she cried. lol
