    We just went thru the same thing.. My husband has been here just about a month now and still hadn't received his SS card. We went to the SS office a couple days ago and asked if he had been entered into the system. The lady typed in his info and said that they (USCIS) entered his info but didn't request his SS number. She ask my hubby a few questions and summited his SS application for us, and said he should get his card in about 10 days.

    Does anyone know if the US citizen is allowed to attend the K1 interview with the beneficiary fiance at the embassy in Jamaica? I have a ways to go, but wanted to know what the rules are presently.

    No they don't allow the petitioner to enter the embassy for the interview. But they do allow you to enter the property and wait in the court yard.

    Ok VJ im having an issue here. Im in the process of gettin all my paperwork together and i ordered my marriage certificate online and its delayed because i gave them my PO Box. And today my friend in JA went to the RGD for me and they told him that i need a physical address and they dont mail to po boxes. Now my question is, when filing the i-130 can i use my po box. Where i live my apartment complex doesnt have individual mail boxes so everyone has to purchase po boxes. Please help with some advice.

    laurel&colin how did you go? We were APPROVED!!! it was terribly anticlimatic. not a single question was asked and they didn't look at anything I had with me. She just got us to sign our ds230's and then off we went! All easy as! Good luck everybody else xxxx

    Approved!! It was FAST. My appointment was at 1PM and we were out of there by 2PM.

    Everything was smooth except they had difficulties taking my fingerprints.

    The consular officer asked me the ONE question I didn't know the answer to: how much does your husband make? :bonk: I gave a guesstimate and it wasn't too wrong.

    Besides that, some simple questions which didn't always make sense (like how's your husband's brother's girlfriend?, after I mentioned she came to our wedding... what do you mean how is she?? Who cares right now??)

    I'll make a full review when I get back home tomorrow!

    London embassy told me the visa has been issued, and the DOS said " congratulations the visa was issued yesterday march 20th "

    dose this mean that there likely wont be anything like AP or any other hickups?

    on another note, My wife visited the OBGYN today, we found out that our baby thats due in August is a baby Boy :D

    Yes it means you should get your visa any day now :thumbs:
