  1. Charles,

If you dont call at the right time, you will get sent back to the USCIS answering service.

They cannot tell you anything helpful. So if it says they are going to redirect you to these

people I would just hang up and call at the right time. I am guessing 8 to 4 PST for CSC.

I think the prompts are 1-2-2-4-2-1 then the receipt number (WAC=922).

  2. "kits",

do exactly like "etripke" siad during the right hours (i called around 9am pst).

    1,2,2,4,2

babesprincess and daniel and lucia.. Hi.. I have a question to ask to both of you.. I know this also had happened to others but you were the recent ones.. I've called CSC a few times already using the same RFE process.. but each time I get connected the rep first will ask the receipt number and and once given all they would tell me is what's posted online..like still pending.. this is where i get confused.. so how did you managed to have the rep to tell you that you have been approved or to look deeper than just what the computer said? Because your status online were both still pending but they told you you have been approved.. thank you guys for any help..
  3. hey Lilikoi,

call the 1800 number and dial 1,2,2,4,1 and when you put your number in convert the letters example:

WAC=922 then the rest of your reciept number. I did this today and the woman was very helpful and the nice woman let me know that I was approved (NOA 2) 13 days ago!!!!!!!! No update on the computer or e-mail. Anyways I hope that helps,

    Daniel

  4. hey babes princess I just did the same thing today and found out we were approved on the 21!

Congrajulations (spelling? ah whocares were approved!)

Check out my new thread and tell me what you think (Saturday Touches)....

hi! we just called today the csc and we got approved june 22nd. :)

the person who answered us is a nice lady and she gave all the information that we need. we also called the nvc but they didn't receive yet our application.

thank you very much for the info on how to call!

  5. My I-129F was touched on Saturday. When I called CSC (RFE prompts 1,2,2,4,1) I was told that I had been approved (NOA 2) on June 21 (Summer Solstice). Then she told me that it had been sent to NVC. This makes sense since my last touch was on a Saturday and most people dont work on Saturdays, but the mail man (or woman) does. So I have a theory that Saturday touches are when petitions get mailed. Can anyone confirm or deny this theory?

  6. My friend already told my story here, but I will repeat.

I visited my fiancee in California last month, while ( still) waiting for my NOA 2 and everything went out just fine. The officer only asked to see my return tickets and to see "what was written on the shirt I was wearing"!!!!! hahahah

But I was VERY nervous the whole trip, and almost drove Daniel crazy.

Just make sure you bring enough proof (I brought a document saying I was a finalist med student), and your return ticket is very important too.

    Good luck!

  7. billsafari,

I myself am all for the fence, but I doubt all 20 million are losers and a cancer seems a little harsh!

This thread is a month old...........

Yes....we all fall for it at some point. Even me  Still, I felt that if the OP decided to come back she certainly didn't need to see all this negativity at a time when she needed our support and advice.

    Yeah, I'm guilty too....

  8. touched means that your something has been done to your case, and they remeber to update the date on the website

in your portfolio. Set up an account on the USCIS site with your reciept number. Also Captain Ewok explains the whole touch thing in one of his posts.

    Hope that helps....

Ok I just found this great site and this great post. Count me in as well. I filled I-130 in late March and I filled for I-129 in mid April. Just doing the waiting game and kind of frustrated.

    Hey what does "Touched" mean?

    Our story:

Me met in November of 06, got married on Jan 3rd 07. Filed for everything on March 23rd. Now we are without eachother and just waiting. I am a US Citizen and she is a Indian Citizen.

  9. Ms. Jasmine,

To see if you have been touched go to the USCIS homepage and set up an account with your

receipt number. Each time your case is worked on it should get updated (not always though)

this is shown by a change in the date. Hope that helps

Congrats to all. Btw, How will I know if our petition was touched? We have our NOA1 already. Waitng for the NOA2... I dont recieved any email from VSC... :( Thanks... :)
  10. thank you....the prompts to get to a live (usually not useful) person are 1,2,4,0.

it took me a long time to figure out!

I can't remember the exact prompts, but first was 1 for english and the secnd was 2...i just kept following prompts like i needed to submit more documents or had questions about documents that I needed to send. It's kind of a guessing game. I followed those prompts and finally it gave me a prompt to speak with customer service rep. I think it took me two tries to follow the prompts correctly. You have to listen real close because I does not say anything about RFE, just that you received notice that more documents must be sent in and you have a question about it. When I finally got a person on the line, I told her that I saw that CSC was no longer adjudicating I129F's and I wanted to know if my petition had been sent to NSC. When I got her to look it up is when i started asking her questions about whether I had been approved. Good luck...it might take you a couple of tries to get the correct prompts.
  11. Thanks so much Rosemarie!

    Sincerely,

    Daniel

Can anyone please tell me how to display my photo with my reply window above member status "newbie, senior member ect..."

    Thank you,

    Daniel

Select my Controls from just under the header at the top of the homepage. Then pick Edit Avatar Settings from the left hand side. Then upload a new image from your computer.

  12. either they have not touched it or they have and have not updated it. 63 days isn't that long! some people wait well over a hundred! i am at 77 and am not going to worry until 100 or maybe 120. i wish you well.

HELP HELP HELP!! I'm actually feeling down and can somebody help and lift a fellow petitioner up? I think I understand now what TOUCHED means. They received my application on April 12 and when I logged in to my account it said LAST UPDATED APRIL 14, which means that they have touched it. It's been 63 days and that date hasn't changed yet..so does that mean that they haven't touched it? Does that mean I am not getting my NOA2 this June or by early July? July 12 will be the 90th day. Please please help help. Thank you and my fiancee and I need your prayers.
  13. Yes I called them today and they read off the same response. They also don't know or see touches or NOA 2's. They are fairly clueless and unhelpful. "We are processing Nov 06 please call in 6 months..." blah bla blah.

I got my NOA 1 March 30, so at day 77 I am not that concerned. Hope the best for everyone.

I keeping my fingers crossed for a NOA2 before I leave for Russia for 3 months on May 31. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell me what's the RFE TRICK and how to do it? Thanks.

CSC also does not seem to be telling anything - they touched me twice this week and when i called them and

asked they dont say anything, just the same 'processing Nov 06 applications' ..anyone tried calling CSC for

    more info recently?

  14. Hello,

In my opinion I would do it just like her name is on her birthcertificate or her passport...

So if it doesn't fit in the box I would do an attachment. Put see attachment in the box, and

then add a page attachment to Question 1a or whatever. Be sure to have the information on the

attachment page I think name and birthdate, but call USCIS to get attachment information.

    Good luck
