Hey All,
I just wanted to give an update that we had our interview on Friday and were approved! My wife burst into tears when she interviewer told us the decision and had a lot of thumbs up and congratulations from everyone in the waiting room (most people could hear the interview happening as it was at a window in front of about 20 other people waiting). They only asked us two questions, how we met, and what happened after that (we told a short summary of how we talked every day and when we were married, how many times I have visited Brazil). Then she said we were approved. They didn't ask to see any photos or any documents even though I brought about 30 pages worth!
Hopefully the visa will come this week since we chose to have it delivered within the same city as the consulate to speed things up. Almost 1 year after our wedding and it's finally happening, for anyone else waiting feeling stressed and frustrated don't give up!

We have just received our interview date but realized upon gathering the medical records that one of the reasons to deny a visa is for a history of drug/alcohol abuse. My spouse went through a rough time in her teens about 10 years old when she was admitted to a rehab for alcohol abuse. Since then she has had no problems and has been seeing a psychiatrist for several years.
How should we approach this at the interview? She has requested the records from the rehab facility and I suggested that her psychiatrist write up a letter explaining that she has been receiving treatment and has been stable for several years.
I'm worried that this will be a problem if they ask about it at the interview. Any advice? -

I received too a email this morning... my interview date is April 20th... Thank you God...Im very excited. Good news.
Great to hear the interviews at RDJ are being scheduled! Fingers crossed ours will be coming this week...what was your CC date? Ours was Feb 14th so I'm really hoping for April, otherwise it looks like I'll be taking a trip to Brazil for a visit next month! After a year of waiting the end feels like the hardest part.
