  2. Hey Bhu!

Thanks for the quick response! It really helps! What hotel are you staying at ? Jeanette is excited someone else from VJ is going to be there! What time are you planning on showing up at the consulate in the morning? It would be nice to have someone there sharing the interview experience for moral support.

  3. Howdy,

Jeanette has her interview in the morning and wanted to know if she needed all of the I-29F paperwork we originally sent to California service center, the biographic info and everything or just what was on the Vancouver consulate check list. Also, she went to the consulate tonight just to see where it was and the guard said that she will need to line up for her K1 visa, she explicitly said she had an appointment for a K1 visa and they still said she has to line up in the morning. Does that sound a little strange to anyone else?

    Thanks for the help!

  4. i met a gentleman there was doing the same thing....he was #3 so he got out in time...apparently did the interview and they just asked that he bring the results back as soon as he got them. Didn't seem to be a problem with it. Hopefully yours works out well but def. show up early, and try to do your paperwork fairly quickly once you get it....cuz it actually ended up being first to finish the paperwork got the first # when i was there. Good luck

ps may be the next day for the medical to go through the consulate (not sure)

  5. hey, i just had mine on the 22nd...no apointment but show up early it's kinda first come first serve. i was there at about 6:30, you wait in a line, fill out some papers, get given a #, then do bloodwork, chest x-rays, and the exam. pretty easy but bring a book. they'll ask you to come back at 2 to pick up the results. i think they told me they only do it one day a week. and when you go back they give you the x-rays, an envelope for the consulate and a copy of vaccinations for you. hope it helps. (oh and the ladies at the desk were really nice)

they said our case got sent from NVC on the 23rd of October. the date on my paperwork from the embassy says Oct.31. oh and in case anyone runs into this, i guess Van needs a signed copy of the OF-167 Attachment, they send it with your paperwork and i haven't been able to find it online (if anyone knows where i could find it that would be great) . needs to be signed by the sponser and attached to the I34.

  7. Yea thats what I thought too Kitkat, but there is a physical paper in the Packet 3 attached to the OF-167 that needs to be signed and presented at the interview. Something about Social security Act, Public Charge and Food Stamps. I havent found any info about it. Mabye something specific to the Vancouver consulate? It specifically says it needs to be signed by the petitioner and presented at the interview along with the I-34. Its got me a bit confused.

  8. Howdy VJ,

The Vancouver Consulate sent us our Packet 3 today (Yay!!!). I had one question about Packet 3. They want along with the I-34 Affidavit of support there is another document OF-167 and attachment. Everywhere I have looked all I can find is OF-167 is an Optional Form, but it has an attachment that needs to be signed by the petitioner. Does anyone have a link to the attachment I cant see to find it anywhere. I was hoping to just find the document online so I can print it sign it and send it to my fiancee quickly!

    I appreciate your help!

    -John
