OMG  !! I am so sorry that you had to go through that . Praying for you to get an early interview. My I-130 application ( spousal visa ) took 9 months and for most it takes 5. I exactly know how this feels. Thank you for the luck . I sure do need it.

    Scan Date January 18.

Aww that is so awful too. Well i will keep your family in my prayers. Keep calling them and be patient. Thanks for the good wishes

    Hello,

I am US citizen, residing in Dallas, TX I petitioned for my mom in March 2016. My mom is an Indian citizen. The I130 was approved and the case was sent to the NVC. I have submitted all the financial and civil documents and have paid all the fees. NVC received all the documents on December 28, 2016. On Jan 28 2017 I received an email saying to submit DS 260, which I had already submitted. I called them and asked they said the system automatically sends a reminder and they asked me to ignore the email.  It said it will take 4-6 weeks and if all the documents are complete they will schedule an interview. I contacted NVC and they told me its just a matter of time before they move on to the next step. It has been been more than 2 months from Dec 28, 2016 and more than a moth since I received the automated e-mail. What should I do? How long does it usually take for them to move on to the next step.

    Hey there.

They take a bit longer than your regular R1 visa. I also a petitioned for my mom on march 2016. i sent in my documents and my scan date was 10/13/16. after 5 months and a half of waiting and constant calling, they completed my case on 3/20 (i confirmed by phone). I am now waiting on my interview date which i will hopefully get by the end of next week. I wish you the best and hang in there. hopefully they will complete your case soon. be patient

It will happen just wait and see. I would check tonight too. I have seen people get their cases completed minutes AFTER they get off the phone with a supervisor. We are suppose to received a letter/email from the NVC letting us know of our case being completed and then of our interview as soon as the embassy has opening but they typically start scheduling the last two days of the month and can run up to the first week of the new month (per what I have seen here)...luckily because February is a shorter month I have a feeling they may start as soon as Friday. I will be calling Friday to ask...no waiting for the letter as I have also seen people get their appointment over the phone before getting an email/letter.  Keeping my fingers crossed that you get case completed no later than tomorrow.

That is very sweet of you! Thank you so much for all the good wishes and kind words. I will be praying for your interview to be scheduled as quick as possible too! Keep me updated about it all so i can send good vibes and prayers!

Awesome!!!!!! Congrats to you and thanks for giving me some hope. Also, what happens after out case is completed? Is that when we get an email w interview date and details or we will get that by mail? Do you know if we will have to wait another 200 weeks ?

Sounds good, hopefully she follows through on her promise and get you your CC this week. Hang in there!

Thank you for the good wishes and same to those of you waiting.

I am happy i got to talk to someone. Hopefully god hears you and i get a cc soon.

  8. I just got off the phone with a supervisor. She was super nice and helpful. She told me that she will personally make sure they review and complete my application by the end of this week and told me to check back with them everyday if necessary. She said she has no idea as to why my case has not been completed as of today. Well, im hopefull that this supervisor will actually follow up with my case and makes it happen. Otherwise i feel bad for the next supervisor i get to talk to! Anyway, id like to keep a positive mind and happy thoughts until i have to go there ?. ( the representative also told me that i was the calmest "mad" costumer she has ever talked to) I know we all want to yell at them but trust me it gets you no where. Also, i commented on how great my representative was (i figured an act of kindness could make anyone's day, and she got me on the phone with a supervisor within 5 minutes) so i completed my deed for today.

Good luck to all of you and hopefully we all get to see our loved ones very soon!!! Blessings.

@aspoison22 I'd suggest giving them a call. This is direct from their website on the case status page.

    "

If it has been more than two (2) months since you submitted documents to NVC, and you have not received any communications from NVC:

    • Action required:  Keep in mind that NVC will not review your case file until you have paid your fees, submitted your Form DS-260, and submitted both financial and civil documents. If you are missing any of those items, please submit those now using these online instructions.
    • Action required:  If you have submitted all of the required documents, forms, and fees and still have not heard from NVC, please give us a call at 1-603-334-0700 or send an email using our online inquiry form. Our Customer Service Representatives can confirm whether NVC received your documents and update you on the status of your case."

Thanks a lot to all of you for all the feedback, and for taking time to help me figure this all out. I have been calling them every friday since December and nothing. Actually on a phone call right where i will request to speak to a supervisor about it. Im seriously so fed up with the long wait! And apparently they haven't even completed my application!!! Here i was thinking i was just waiting for my interview date ?.  I will update you guys after i speak to someone and will pray for you guys as well ❤

When you see us speaking about 3 N/A's, it means case complete. When you only have 2 then your case is not complete. You will see your 3rd N/A when you see under 'Affidavit of Support Fee' change from  'PAID' to 'N/A'.

    I hope this helps. :)

Thank you so much. This is very helpful. Do you have any idea as to why it has taken since October and they still havent gotten to even complete my application? I haven't gotten a much different answer besides what anyone else has stated. Could it be because my case is for a parent instead of spouse?

  11. Writing this in hopes that someone who understands what everything means can help me figure out where my case stands.

    received supporting doc: 10/13/2016

    sent to supervisor: 12/9/2016

When I try to check my immigrant visa status it tells me the date they received my supporting documents but i do not see any N/A (unless im looking in the wrong place). I logged on to my summary information page and it shows n/a for the affidavid of support doc and supporting documents so i dont know what i should be looking at. I don't even know what the N/As mean? help me out please. I have been waiting for the day I get to reunite with my mother, and this process has exhausted my hopes and have made this experience so dreadful. Sending prayers for everyone waiting too!
