I know what you mean, lol, half of the Comms Center in NZ referred to me as 'Moose". I promise, I am very unlike a moose looking :D  That and, hey, say out and about eh?

Here I just get told "you aren't from around here, are ya'. Newp :D

Moose? laughs .. They think they are tormenting me with the Eh and out and about comments .. I play along just to amuse the small minded ones hahaha

It's my understanding that you don't lose anything. What you will receive is American citizenship, the US simply didn't recognise any other citizenship but they can't take it away, that's between you and Canada :jest:

Thank you .. super excited .. I hope the oath ceremony isn't an all day affair. My wife and kids are coming with and shes not in the best of health

  3. On March 2, 2017, we scheduled an interview for your Form N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION, Receipt Number NBC*. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

    Getting closer. I'm excited

Funny thing I find is that it says the Saint Paul field office is processing cases as of March 20th 2016

Wonder how long it will take to get the interview notice letter ... How long should I wait before calling

To be fair, that's because we only see it from a timeline point of view - we don't see the reasons behind. There can be any number of reasons why one file can appear to be processed faster than another. I used to see that a lot when we were at the I-129F stage, eventually I stopped worrying about it because it doesn't speed up our own case :)

Honestly I was fine just having my permanent residency status but then after we purchased a home we decided that I should have my citizenship

I know it's frustrating, and irritating. It happens with USCIS. They only process in the order they come in, in that they cash your check and put your information into a file. After that, it seems to go all to pieces, and some people get processed faster than others do, even if they did have an earlier filing date.

I have all the patience in the world ..

I just thought it was completely messed up to see others filing after me getting interviews scheduled before me
